Hi everyone,
Is there a plugin, constraint setting, or something I missed to get a camera attached to an animated prop to inherit its Rotational animation?
I exported some camera pivot-ROTATION data from another 3D package and trying to create a foreground cockpit animation in IClone… you know, look ahead, look through the right window, then left, that sort of thing. My goal is to composite the IClone animation over the rendered background coming from the other package.
What I’ve discovered is:
•I can import an animated prop containing ROTATION data through 3DXchange, Y and Z are reversed.
•I can correct the Y/Z issue in IClone by rotating it… result: imported prop camera ROTATION animation looks perfect.
•I can Attach an IClone camera to my prop… and…
Full STOP… there appears to be a limitation here. My IClone camera, made a child of the Rotating Prop, inherits none of its rotation.
Hope there’s a solution for this. Thanks in advance - Don
