Change the name in the scene manager then save it.

Change the name in the stage manager then save it. Either save it as a new character with the plus or select the old one and update it. Jeff

Thanks, Jeff, but could you clarify your second step for me? Exactly where/how do I rename the character that's on stage? And finally "save it again" I suppose means click the plus to add it as a new character to the content manager?
I brought my character onto the stage, clicked the plus to add it to the content manager as a new character listing, and renamed it. When I drag that character onto the stage the timeline and scene manager still show it as black dummy. So what am I missing?

Bring your character onto the stage, rename it and then save it again. The saved character will then have the new name when placed on the stage. Jeff

I know how to save a character and how to name or rename it in the content manager. But when I see my character on the timeline it is called "Black Dummy" instead of the name I used. If I click the character in the scene manager, press F2, and rename it there, then of course the timeline reflects that. But does anyone know how to make the scene manager and timeline automatically use the name I prefer (the one shown in the content manager) in future uses of this character? It's a small thing, but I don't want to initially see it as "Black Dummy" on the timeline and scene manager every time I use it. Thanks for any help with this!
