I wonder if anyone succeeded in exporting a quadrupeds animation from iClone>3DXchange to Maya? I can export the skeleton of say the Arabian horse to Maya through (FBX), but can't export the animation that comes with it.
Would appreciate any help.

Hi aalfouzan , Welcome to the forum! :D there is an old plugin pre 3DX5 that was a beta iclone format pipeline to maya - I think it was from like 2010 ? I doubt that this would work, but all the same it may be worth sharing the info just in case you have an old version of maya. You can find the plugin, in the developer section. I'm sure the quadraped can be done with 3DX5 - but I can't say I know that process off hand since I've never tried a quad. My first question would be, did you add the motions to the horse in 3DX5 before attempting to export ? Cheers

planetstardragon and Sen. Thank you very much for your help.
Yes, with animation checked, I'm able now to bring the character and animation to Maya.
Now I only want to duplicate the skeleton and animation from iClone character to the one I created in Maya, which is a horse basically.
I tried detaching the skin from iClone character and aligning my model to the imported skeleton, but any attempt to realign the joints to match my model proportion is reset because of the animation that comes with it.
I also tried importing my model to 3DXchange to add the horse skeleton and animation from within, but I can't find an option to do that.
3DXchange doesn't have any quadruped profile to setup the joints for any 3d application.
So, I wonder if there is any easy way to clone the skeleton with its animation to a custom model in Maya?
Sorry to bother, but I'm a modeler more than a rigger and animator, so I'm totally lost here.
