I think you should use "Self cast shadow" for the shadow type (Scene Manager - Dir/Spot Lights - Light (what used) - Shadow settings - Shadow type).

Can you upload a Screen Shot of iClone showing the situation?

In this Screen Shot the Shadow is set to Drop Shadow - no shadow can be seen on the Floor:

In this shot the Shadow is set to Self Cast Shadow and does show on the floor, but not outside it:

Are you sure that your Shadow settings are correct?

I should also be clear that even in the designer, the shadow disappears. So here are my steps:

New Project
Add a prop
(see shadow)
Add a floor
(Shadow is gone)

Sure enough I don't have a surface for the 32bit (and perhaps I could indeed green screen it)

Guess we might need a bit more info...If you're saving an Advanced 32bit .png (it saves the alpha channel) with "Self Cast Shadow" on you would need a surface object, as well, in iClone for the shadow to be seen in your 32bit .png.

If you have "Drop Shadow" on then no shadow will show in or your 32bit .png. It will show in a 24bit .png as well as the background color of iClone's stage. But you have no alpha channel in a 24bit .png for compositing purposes.

You could try using a green color background in iClone with the "Drop Shadow" and use your NLE software to do a GreenScreen chromakey if that's what your after...

I have an avatar and a light. I export 32-bit PNG and I get the avatar, but not the shadow.
