The price quoted above by Sen (from their website) is $349 and $399 for the two versions. My understanding is that that is all you need and that it will deliver full body motion. No facial animation of course, which is more difficult I would think.

:w00t: thank for info .

All of the above! The PrioVR system is essentially a full-body inertial motion-capture suit capable of accurately sensing the pose of all parts of the user’s body in real-time.

Motion capture: The PrioVR system’s performance is comparable to current professional-grade inertial motion-capture systems that cost $60,000 to $80,000 dollars. The PrioVR is creating technology that outperforms these professional systems in many ways, but is priced starting in the sub $400 range for a complete suit of 17 sensors.

The PrioVR Lite will now be $349, and the PrioVR Pro will now be $399. The PrioVR systems will also be ready to be shipped by the end of MAY 2014.

Check out this Kickstarter project http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/yeitechnology/priovr-get-your-ideas-moving.

This is the cheapest full body mocap system that I have found. The tools export to bvh format which can be imported into iClone.

I hope that is project get funded.

Definitely worth a looksee. I (like many others am relatively unimpressed with the kinect system. This looks like a much more precise system.

This is impressive. I watched the video. Personally I don't like Kinect systems. Late response, akimbo body positions. Not for me.
But the impressive issue with this was not only the tight copycat mimicry of the avatar but the potential of having multiple wearers in a tight vicinity, or, as the information suggests, many wearers in a larger vicinity such as a Gymnasium for example.

Lazer Wars. Next Step, Virtual!

Imagine a jungle setup and a team v. team situ. There'd be nothing in the hall but the game itself would show the halls perimiters as an obstacle in the visuals.
We already have this large hall setup as a kind of space lazer game over here in the UK and France which is big business as corporations send their employees to these for "Team work" psychologies. (Blowing the sh** out of each other!!!!!!)  This would be the next level up.
I'd play. :D:P
