One of the most impressive elements of the Toon setting is to allow the mist/fog in at 100 and out at 200 making a flat detail killing arena where only the toning process outlines the objects in the vicinity of the camera view.

This being done and the mist thereafter being coloured so that, effectively, nothing gets through, the toning process animates the line edges of everything on set and makes a superb crossfade to the sepia'd definition version which crossfades into the normal colored toon version and henceforth to the normal untooned footage. I particularly like the way the fog has vacated the silk hanging for me to use credits and titles upon it until it crossfades into the next take length.
