I haven't seen this discussed at all, but then again I don't frequent as much as I should.
After spending some time figuring this out (ton of trial and error) I got Microsoft SDK 1.7 to work with I-clones MOCAP. The capture is much smoother with much less of jittery motions that plagued, very unusable, beta (360 version SDK).
First, uninstall all of the old SDK, then uninstall the MOCAP device plugin. Now, download the latest 1.7 sdk from microsoft (just google it and it will come up). Install the SDK. Next download the latest version of the mocap device plugin from RL. I had mine in the bonus area, its the Mocap Device Plug In ver. 1.2 (kinect for windows). Install it next. When prompted to install the SDK just click cancel. The plug in will still install itself. Now, I'd restart and try to connect to your Kinect. It should work and be somewhat more usable than before.
I know that the plugin is meant for the Windows version of the Kinect, but it works with the xbox 360 version as well.
I apologize if this has been covered before. I read the sticky post and there was a vague mention of using the latest SDK. I wish I found that before my trial and errors, but this is a bit more detailed... if anyone is wondering.

That is useful info. The prevailing wisdom is that the Windows SDK doesn' t work with the Xbox Kinect. I had found that it does, but wasn't sure if it would work with the plugin. (Which I don't have; I'm waiting for a sale...)
