Can Poser export to either FBX or DAE? If not, then can you load the model in DAZ Studio? Exporting to FBX will get it right into 3DXChange Pro. Export to DAE and convert it with the free autodesk FBX tool.

Personal impression for using PoserPro tool for Poser Model. Pros and Cons: Pros 1) PoserPro has .dae Export function so you can use FBX converter without knowing Daz Studio additionally. 2) Poser model would be not always compatible with DAZ Studio. Please confirm your Poser model for the compatibility. Cons 1) Characterization is Not automatic as Poser bone structure is different from iCloneGameBone Character system. You need some manual bone mapping effort.
2) Fewer step by step instructions available. Hiro

Hi All... I'm not blown away with Poser Talk Designer. I've had success with the CrazyTalk lipsync feature, and I see that iClone has the same UI, so I'm thinking about using it. I'd like to try it. Looks like I've come to the right place. I'd like to import my Poser character into iClone, so I can try using iClone for lipsync and animation. I've been experimenting with 3DXchange, Daz, and the Autodesk FBX Converter. I've tried just about every path possible. All have failed. When I say failed, I mean the character looks good in Poser, but looks like junk in 3DX. I'll post pics if you wish. I read here that some characters import well, and others do not. Do we know which ones work well? I am currently working with Michael M4, but I would consider a change if it would make an import work. Generally, do the Daz characters import any better (or worse) than the Poser characters? I've seen hints that Reallusion is working with Daz, trying to get the Genesis figure to import. Heard anything about that? I look forward to hearing from you. Meanwhile, I'm going to take a look at this.

Hello, Mr.rottenham!.(^^)/ Since I do not have Poser series, my opinion may not be a correct answer.
In experience, the fault on 3D X5 is the following two. (1)"Sharing of the bone has not been performed." (2)"The display of hair / eye / accessories is strange."
In the case of DS4.6, the measure against (1) is that "Fit to" checks. (I think that there is the same function also as Poser) In the case of (2), I output hair/accessories independently as Prop, and use them as accessories in iClone5.
I expect your success.

Yes. I know that iClone and Poser use different bone structures. I know that Poser stranded hair does not export, and that certain props do not export well. Stranded hair can be replaced with prop hair, and yes, props can be imported individually. The bone structure is more difficult to correct, but I can learn to do it. There is a YouTube video that talks about this. Poser has sophisticated character creation tools, especially for facial features. Reallusion has good lipsync tools. I want to learn to use both of them together. I expect it will take months to learn to do this. I am a patient man. I hope to create characters almost as good as those in GTA5, but I can't spend $20 thousand on hardware and software, and I can't hire 10 people to make one scene. Poser, iClone, DAZ, all suffer from a shortage of good written documentation. That makes this forum an important learning tool. I'll be here often.

Poser to use is a poor choice to export DAZ figures to iClone. DAZ Studio is free so why not use you this better way ?
