When animating a character, I find that the left foot "spins" and I have to go to layers to manually correct it. Sometimes, it works... but other times it has to be done frequently as fixing it in an early frame does not "kill" the motion.

Is this a feature or a bug? ;)

Thanks.

A typical character has three (3) sprites for the left foot: Default, F Left Foot, S Left Foot.
While in character composer you adjust the default foot for the default pose (Side or Front). Then adjust the S Left Foot in the Side pose mode and the F Left Foot in the Front pose mode.
This is already done for the RL characters but must be done for custom characters.
If you do this then the characters left foot should be properly positioned in either Side or Front mode.

One reason the left foot does crazy things is that when you apply a Front animation to a Side character the animation switches the left foot sprite to the "F Left Foot" sprite which will not be positioned properly for a Side character. Something similar also happens when applying a Side animation to a Front Facing character.

Make sure you are applying a Side animation to a Side Pose character and that the correct left foot sprite is selected for the characters pose.

Thanks, Jeff! That makes sense.

I found on my latest animation that if I re-adjust the foot at the end of the animation, it will stay put. However, I did one the wrong way and the foot made a 360° during the animation.

We will get the hang of this thing eventually! :w00t:

Thanks again!
