Hi Mark

Oh my goodness, I'm deeply honored by your feedback after I have just seen episode 1 of "Tesla". Your movie is an incredible piece of art, I'm absolutely stunned. "Tesla" is a real inspiration for me and it shows to where the boundaries of iClone can be pushed.

Nice one Parallaxe!

Here's a turn idea. In your animation library, look for "iMotion Violet". Inside that is another folder called "Move". Inside that is one called "Turn". Inside the Turn folder are two animations, "Turn Right" and "Turn Left". Apply one of these to your avatar. You'll see the feet move, but no actual turn. Without moving your timeline marker away from the end of the inserted "turn" animation, select the rotate tool and rotate your actor in the proper direction.

The tricky part to remember here is that when you put in the rotation keyframe, the model will begin moving to that keyframe from any previous keyframe (or the beginning of the track). So, you need to put a keyframe at the beginning of the turn as well that is not yet turned.

Now you will have the animation of the footsteps playing while the avatar is rotating. It works pretty well. If they are turning 180 degrees, you may want to add the foot moving animation a couple times.

First try??!!!! WOW! I think you did a fantastic job!
I shutter to think of my first try with iClone :P

I have a terrible time with "Turns" as well :w00t:

My only quibble would be to add maybe voice or some text elements to explain what's happening or going to happen with your adventure...Great music!!! That helps so much as I'm sure you know!;)

Love to see more!!!:D:D:D

Hi there

I'm all new to the iClone/3DxChange universe, so please don't laugh at my very first tries (-:

I have started with iClone in order to create a small trailer for a private, non-commercial game project I'm working on in my spare time.

As a complete newbie I made mixed experiences with iClone so far: Whereas the basic features are really simple to use, it took me (as an example) ages to make a character turn; just a simple turn without walking forward first and turn then. Only a simple and believable turn at its very position. The MixedMoves for "turn" somehow start with a "walk forward" sequence.

Anyway, I tried to hide the most ugly newbie-faults by cutting and blending around with AfterEffects (-;

However, I'd be VERY grateful if you have some advise on how I can improve my (poor) abilities around iClone.

Greetings from Switzerland (-:

P.S.: Sorry for my poor English, it's not my mother tongue (-:
