Hi,
What are most people using for vector editing (ie creating character, props, scenes etc) and what video editor for putting rendered scenes together.
I am looking to use corel draw x5 (as i already have this) and videopad for the video editing.

I dont think corel can edit flash but it came with a seperate utility called Swish (not used it yet though).
Videopad seems to get decent reviews but if a freeware solution exists i will try that first, as i want to upgrade to the pro version of CTA.

I use DrawPlus x5 for all my props and characters. It can export in flash format and imports into CTA well.
Adobe Flash works also but it more expensive.
Not sure about Swish but if it exports swf files it "SHOULD" work.
Note that Action Scripts are not supported in CTA.

For video editing I use MoviePlus x6. Fairly inexpensive and has many good features.
I know there are others and depending upon budget and the features you want what will work for you.

Get my Plugin Manager and TaskNotes plugins for iClone.
Check out EZColors and Other products for CTA/CA. EZColors: the easy way to change Render Styled (RS) colors!

Hi, thanks for the recommendations.
Serif Drawplus x5 looks like a good deal when bought here, and most people rate it highly.

The video editing is not so clear cut though ! I will have to install a few trials and see what works best for me. Movieplus, Sony Vegas Movie Studio, Cyberlink Powerdirector & Corel Videostudio are in my sights.

I don;t do much illustration, but I certainly do a lot of video editing. Once upon a time I used Sony Vegas Home Studio Platinum exclusively, but with Adobes very affordable Creative Cloud subscription, I've been using Premiere more and more. And a lot of After Effects too...
