Is there a way to get figures from Character Creator 3 into SFM?  I have iClone7, I'd just really like to find a use for SFM.

I did play with Source Filmmaker, it's really good but I still prefer to use Iclone to produce something.

Merry Christmas to you all

i was actually looking at team fortress 2 - it's a free download - it's a ridiculously large download though - the source game editor comes with it also....I imagine that the film maker is just a modified version of the editor. The team fortress 2 characters are stylized. - looks interesting....but not sure I'm ready to go through that TF2 mega download just yet!!

I just found out about this today as well. The movie examples made with it are pretty amazing. I'm downloading it now to check it out. It only works with the Team Fortress 2 game as a base though so I assume you need to have that game. Also, you would need to have modding skills for that game in order to do anything original. Depending on how hard that is, especially in bringing in 3rd party content, this could be a fantastic tool or one that I can't use.

If you've never mod'd before... you're infor quiet a shock! Heavy C++ skills required!
You can still load the TF2 map and play around with it!
Good Luck!

Well, I don't see why you'd need C++ skills to mod the 3D content for this. I hope that's not the case. I would think there would be some GUI map tools to add/remove/modify 3D content. However, if so, I've been a professional C++ programmer for the past 17 years so I might just be OK.

I understand there is currently a beta and that you need STEAM, whatever that is...:ermm:

Steam is produced by boiling water, maybe you need to use a water cooled PC with the software. :D:w00t::cool:

I just got an email announcing yet another game-engine-based animation tool. Check it out here: http://nofilmschool.com/2012/07/source-filmmaker-powerful-animation-tool-valve/.

I know nothing about it, but I thought I would pass it on, as we have so many tinkerers around here who love to try out something new!
