Anyone have tips on making a character eat food? It is a lot harder then I anticipated.Step 1: Have the character look at the food
Step 2: Move their hand and Utensil to the food
Step 3: Link or attach the food ...to the utensil or have them pick it up with their hands.
Step 4: Move their hand to the mouth...get it almost there.
Step 5: Open the characters mouth and move the hand towards it guiding the food.
Step 6: Put the utensil or fingers in the mouth
Step 7: Close the mouth around the food.
Step 8: Make the food invisible at the point the mouth closes or a few frames beyond the mouth closing.
Step 9: Make the character Chew...takes a few separate frames to do this.
Step 10: Move the utensil or fingers away from the mouth.
Start all over again.............
Basic thought is what happens and when...you space those steps out and *** "Tweening" will take care of the rest.. A few adjustments or added frames to compensate for too much sway in the wrong direction and you're done.
*** Tweening: Transitions between the various keys
Tweening solves most of your animation work.
Mimic your own motions and there you have it... If you spill the food, you can leave that part out. :)
