Hi there folks. I have downloaded a 14-day trial version of CrazyTalk Animator and I cannot find a way to resize the 'stage'. It seems to be a fixed landscape shape. Does anybody know how to resize the stage???

My current thinking is to create animations in Crazy talk and them export them as swf files. I can then use AS3 and Flash CS5 to combine my animation elements into educational learning products. But if I cannot resize the stage then each of my animated swf files will be large landscape shaped movies. I really just want the stage to be roughly the shape of the character I wish to animate.

This must be possible since I have seen a flash demo game on the Reallusion website which features a range of animations that have been exported as swf files, imported into flash and then combined using AS3 into a multimedia game.

Can anybody help please?

Hi..

By "Stage" I'm assuming you mean the working area rather than the Stage Prop that is included with CTA. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

The working area aspect ratio can be changed in the Export settings. From here you can change the Output Size values to be widescreen, square or narrow simply by entering the desired dimensions. As you do this you will see working area adjust to refect the changes.

When it comes to how your character or props appear in the working area you can simply use the controls on the top toolbar to zoom in so your character fills the entire working area.

Thanx Peter. Got that sorted. Next question. How do you add transparancy to an exported video?

When I have exported an animated character in FLV format I get a white background. Potentially, I might want to import pre-constructed animations into a flash file and sync them with other elements within Flash in which case I will need transparency within my animations. How can I get it so that the background is transparent???

Ultimately I may wish to export in SWF format (I need to purchase the software to do this). Is the background transparent by default in the SWF export format??

Thanx again for the help.

If you export using Sequence Image PNG this will contain the transparent background. The other video formats including FLV do not include a transparent background.
