If there is animation on a custom prop you will find it by selecting the prop and then go to Modify. Switch on the timeline and then right click on the timeline. If whoever made it put animation on it you will see the options.

If you can use MAX and have the plug-in it is best to do your boning and animation in this. When after bringing in your mesh, bone the cat. When going to export to VNS click on the animation tab. This will give you the option to save a number of different animations by allocating which frame numbers for each animation. Remember to name the animation for each one.

e.g. Frames 0-600 cat walk

       Frames 601- 650 cat sit

When exported and then iclone open timeline and right click and you will see the animations you have put on in Max. You could then get the cat to walk and then sit down using the key frames in iClone's timeline.

Hope this makes sense and can help you.
