So I have modeled a winter coat for my character in Maya 17.  I did the usual export from CC to get a base model to work with.  I was then faced with a posing problem because as you can see from the arms they do not line up with the jacket arms as seen below:

So I proceeded to move the character arms to align with the jacket:

So far so good, and everything exported as expected into CC:

As soon as I begin to calibrate weird things happen with the pose and I believe it's because I've modified the T pose to begin with.  My question is what is the recommended way to do what I'm trying to do and that is fit the jacket to the character and still maintain the calibrations so they work?  Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

It is possible to have the CC character in a different pose for rigging the clothing, but if you just pose it, you are really only creating an animation. You will need to find out how to set the new pose as the "rest" or "base" pose. I was able to do that in Blender, but do not have Maya. It will import back into CC and be in a T-pose again.

Thank you for the reply.  So upon further working with this I was able to get this to work.  Basically what I ended up having to do was adjust the arms to fit the jacket pose first in Maya.  Then after that I bound the jacket to the base bone.  Next since the jacket was bound to the base bone I was able to place the arms in the T Pose again and re-import back into CC.  Everything seems to be fine now:
