iClone vs Iray lighting

Greetings .....
I've imported a 'Heavy Carrier' (purchased from CG Trader) and created a fly past.
Below is a single frame from the sequence, as follows:
●1 - Screen capture showing some of the lights used
●2 - An iClone render (iClone native renderer)
●3 - An Iray render
●4 - iClone shows distinct spotlights
●5 - Iray - Spotlights are no longer distinct

Does anyone know why the *small discrete spotlights* (as seen in iClone render), are 'indistinct' with the Iray render? - It's probably something simple I'm guessing.

I have to make breakfast, so I have to be quick, but the short answer is that in Iray you have to adjust the parameters of the spotlights, as you have in iClone.

It's been awhile since I used Iray, but there is a size parameter that will determine the sharpness of your beam. You can also load IES files I believe just as you can in iClone now. If you use those for your lights it may be easier to get similar results.

I would start wit a simple scene with a single light and see what settings in Iray you need to get the same results as in iClone.
