Dear Character Creator Users,
Today we have released the incredible next generation Character Creator 3.0, but we still need your continued assistance to help us track down any remaining bugs, glitches or other annoying issues.
Important: If you do find any bugs, issues or glitches in Character Creator 3.0, please can you report them first in the Feedback Tracker. Then feel free to discuss the issues in this thread but do try to include a link back to the original Feedback Tracker report or your tracker number. As always it will help us greatly if we can keep all technical issue discussion in the one place (this thread). This will help the development team keep track of any problems.
Please do try to provide your full system specifications and a detailed description of the problem when reporting issues. If you can provide steps so we can try and reproduce the problem this will be even better.

I do not see it in the HUB and no notifications either. So where do we locate and download it. Also do we need to uninstall CC2 ?

OK, after reloading the hub.......a major update for it showed. Installed it and now it does show CC3 to install. I am downloading it now via the RL Hub.

yup.. got an issue. the CC essential morphs create watermarks. I even went as far as to purchase CC essential morphs for CC3 and I still get watermarks. in addition. for some strange reason hub won't load either now.

Ok got cc3 downloaded OK from the HUB.. I installed to another drive F:/ and it canceled the install. I am wondering if I need to add a F:/Reallusion to install it to?

Please can you explain more about this problem and try to include screenshots or a video clip showing the issue. Even better if you can let us have your project we can see first hand what is happening.

Please try logging out of your Reallusion Hub and then restart your computer. Then restart your computer and log back into the Reallusion Hub. Now try again to download Character Creator 3 Base again. Once that completes you can download and install the Character Creator 3 Pipeline Extension.

You can use the "Replace" button if you wish to update an existing project. If you wish to save as a new file you can use the "Add" button.

The way im working is i start with a CC2 face so i can edit the head from photo. I then se d that to iclone where i instantly edit in CC3 to get my character wit a head in the next gen.. i turn him into a cc3 character and get him to export.. when i get him to unreal and try to animate him its like he has silly putty for bones.. really getting stuck here. Really feeling like i cant create characters without having a problem using them
Could you perhaps post a short video clip showing the animation issue when you open the character in Unreal. Thanks.

I just submitted a ticket this morning (5224) talking about a CRC ERROR message while installing CC3. For some reason I believe it may be the cause of the export problem of the default CC3 figure and all the Daz3d figures I've tried to export to IC7. On the ticket I've attached a photo of the error message when I was trying to install CC3. I have aborted several times and tried to install several times, and finally wound up just clicking 'ignore' to see where it would take me. I would get the same error at least five times before installation was complete. Then there are the export troubles are present (excluding the CC2 figures).

this is not specifically a problem of CC3 but rather a problem of the pipeline CC3 to iClone. When a CC3 character is reduced in poli-count (CC3 Pipeline new feature) and exported in FBX format, 3DX is not able to read and recognize it is a human character: it is requested to manually map the bones for a non-standard character. This makes no sense at all and generates a lengthy process to import a CC3 low-poli character back to iClone. Pls, fix 3DX so that it can recognize FBX characters generated by CC3 or at least provide a template for 1-click bone mapping, like in the case of 3D Max/May/etc.
Obviously, best solution would be to improve the low-poli export function in CC3 with the option to choose whether to generate the FBX file or rather send the low-poli character directly to iClone!

 Issue When CC3 opens (or after pressing new) there is always a window saying..... (pic) But, there is no old CC1, because it just start openning new CC3 basic female character. But, nevertheless you have to press YES or CANCEL, beecause third option MORE tells you that you should supposedly download morph slider, which leads you to your order page (where I downloaded and installed everything conserning morphs twice ( also because its impossible to determine if you downloaded and install everything that you got with CC3 upgrade, but that's another story), where there is nothing new to happened. When you press YES, then it finish loading same CC3 base female model. Bug maybe, or I missed something!?
UPDATE: In the upcoming CC 3.01 version this issue should be fixed and you will only be asked once to update your old morphs. :)

Firepro (9/30/2018) When exporting an FBX and then uploading to Sketchfab, or uploading directly to Sketchfab the CC3 character's pose is ignored and all I get is the T-pose.
I found that if I add the static pose desired to the INCLUDE MOTION TRACK then it is available as an animation. Is this the way it is suppose to work?
Also, in the "Upload to Sketchfab" dialogue box, if a Motion Track is listed as being added, it gets added even if the "Include Motion" checkbox is NOT checked.

The T-Pose will always be the pose sent to Sketchfab unless you add a pose to the "Include Motion" list. So if you have created a custom pose, please save it to your custom library and then add it to the "Include Motion" list. For the second issue, this will be fixed in future update. :)

Cannot use the appeareance editor on skins, work around does not work because it doesn't respect the skin resolution ie 2048 ends up in 1024 so it is useless also converted cc2 bases have no collision shapes... Again. Cc3 is useless at this point, who decided to release this horrible beta? I mean it is incomplete, this is not a worthy release candidate. When are the patches coming? When will the AE work? This is a disaster we need hot fixes ASAP

The issue is known and is being looked in to by RL. It is mentioned in the "Known Issues" and only applies to a few of the Hair items.

So the latest is not always the greatest. Some driver updates have to do with supporting the latest cards and are therefore not relevant if you don't have them. Other updates have to do with supporting recently brought out games and also shouldn't affect iClone.
And, as I mentioned before, drivers for laptops are often controlled by the vendor and installing them directly from the Nvidia site may not be a good idea.
Obviously, it would be better for everyone involved if Nvidia was able to bring out a stable driver that lasted a while, at least for normal (non-game) applications.
For sure latest is not always greatest and there is nothing wrong in leaving well alone if you have no issues. However for any graphical issues we always advise updating your graphics driver to see if it resolves the problem. As mentioned previously I always tend to update graphics drivers as soon as they are available but the roll back feature is there should there be any problems so it is never a concern.

If this is confirmed by others, I will enter this in FT. (I'm surprised this was overlooked, frankly.)I can't reproduce this myself. I get a Quick Thumbnail if the box is checked in Preferences but not if the box is unchecked. I rebooted, and still have the same problem. Anyone else care to try?

I just realized most all of the purchased hair packs I have in CC2 did not get transferred over to CC3. Were they supposed to or do we have to re-download them from our account? Or can we copy them from the CC2 folder to the CC3 folder? Thanks

That is a couple months old. The latest GeForce driver version is 411.70. Nvidia made a lot improvements especially during in the September releases. I don't know about CC3, but I know September driver update fixed a flickering issue in PUGB.
Let's just clear up a few points here.
Driver 399.07 is just over 1 month old, and not a few months as you state. :Whistling:
411.70 is only 5 days old, and no sane person uses an Nvidia driver that is only a few days old. :w00t:

PUGB appears to be something that could be used for mass murder training, and would in no way be considered on my part as a bench mark for the functionality of anything installed on my production computer. :pinch:

There are newer drivers available. I would try updating them. The only time I encountered this issue, a driver update solved it.

Thank you for all your great feedback since CC3 was released.
If you have submitted issues using the Feedback Tracker, then rest assured they will have been reviewed by the development team and any feedback from the team will be posted there.
For issues with the Reallusion Hub, these should be resolved now as this was caused by server issues due to demand on our activation server. Likewise the watermark issues with CC Essentials should also be resolved now as we found the cause of the problem and fixed it soon after release.
Please do continue to report any new issues you find to Feedback Tracker, then feel to discuss here. :)

Unfortunately the Appearance Editor does not currently support the new CC3 Base but we are working on it. For now you can use the Appearance Editor with a CC1 Base and then convert to CC3 Base. 2: Can't save transformed body morphs from DAZ to Library to save character as a backup base. 3: Imported Props and Clothing are offset from the orginal body.

I posted a new bug on the Feedback Tracker regarding CC3 Pipeline not exporting diffuse and bump textures when exporting to FBX. Only the ao, Displacement, metallic and roughness textures are exported as seen in the picture attached. It is highly likely that this is due to running Windows 10 on Bootcamp, as this feature is shown in multiple tutorial videos where it does work. If there is any additional data required regarding this bug, let me know. Cheers!

The mesh is HUGE, take a look at the tiny size of the brush at 1000: If you scale down the model to a sensible size for the brush and push back via Goz into CC3, it shrinks. Please can you share the intended process to take a model from CC3 to Zbrush and back? Just looking to use the move topology brush for the moment so nothing special.
I scaled it down in Goz and after changes i scaled i back before Goz back .

The Iray preview is extremely slow on my computer with 40 inch 4K monitor, which means I can not use it. Do I have to reduce the resolution to make it work better? P/s background render working Ok.
Edit: It appears that preview render uses the same resolution as the CC3 window. After a tip, I reduced GI bounce to 6 or 8 and then it became significantly better.:) | | | | | | | | |

Issue When CC3 opens (or after pressing new) there is always a window saying..... (pic) But, there is no old CC1, because it just start openning new CC3 basic female character. But, nevertheless you have to press YES or CANCEL, beecause third option MORE tells you that you should supposedly download morph slider, which leads you to your order page (where I downloaded and installed everything conserning morphs twice ( also because its impossible to determine if you downloaded and install everything that you got with CC3 upgrade, but that's another story), where there is nothing new to happened. When you press YES, then it finish loading same CC3 base female model. Bug maybe, or I missed something!?

What in the HELL have they DUMPED on us here?? How can you even CALL it "Character Creator" when you cannot CREATE an original character now? This is pathetic. I would have NEVER purchased CC3 had I known this - I am SO much more than 'disappointed' I cannot even begin to tell you folks out there without being banned for epithets. This is a joke on us, and I am SHOCKED they put this out like this. They SHOULD have named it "Polygon Reduction & Clothing Creator 1" If this is NOT going to be fixed - I WILL ask for a refund. ONE QUESTION: WILL THIS BE FIXED & WHEN?? My continuing with CC3 or getting a REFUND depend on this answer, folks ~V~ :angry::crazy:

Just some suggested workarounds for getting CT8 photomodel heads into CC3. No doubt this will be fixed by RL in due course, but there are still many ways to do this, from creating morphs and loading textures directly through to slightly more streamlined approaches. Not perfect, but they do work - here are a couple of relatively simple methods, one for getting heads across on pre-built bodies (which is a bit more limited) and one for getting them across on default bodies so that you can work on the bodies from scratch - hope this helps:

Thanks Keith_MPS for the reply. Found the page and followed directions for the download. I recommend to Reallusion to send that email of instructions to users rather than the email that states just log in and download your new CC3 software.
FYI: My Norton Virus software said the Reallusion CC3 exe download file was unsafe. I've gotten those messages before with Reallusion downloads and never had any problems but it's rather disconcerting. Any reason why Norton says this?

Hello, I created a default character in CC3, used the Goz option and drew out the model as small as I could without it flipping upside down in Zbrush. The mesh is HUGE, take a look at the tiny size of the brush at 1000:

If you scale down the model to a sensible size for the brush and push back via Goz into CC3, it shrinks. Please can you share the intended process to take a model from CC3 to Zbrush and back? Just looking to use the move topology brush for the moment so nothing special.

I hope this doesn't go the same way as certain other features. I'm also one of those interested in low-poly characters within iClone. I don't care about game export.

A minor issue. When saving a character in CC 3, the thumbnail is allows a "quick" thumbnail, regardless of the settings in Project Preferences.
If this is confirmed by others, I will enter this in FT. (I'm surprised this was overlooked, frankly.)

I exported a test model in a pose and loaded it up into blender, and the model was still in its t-pose and none of the bones where rigged to the mesh.

Hi,
i have a strange problem when importing my first DAZ G2 female into CC3.
First picture shows the character (after a little bit of adjusting, for example the skin was completely wrong).

Second picture shows the pose "look up". And there the awkward thing happens. The right eyeball springs out of the face.

It seems just like the eyeball weren't bound to the face correctly. I've double-checked my DAZ character and export settings and all seems fine. What's the problem here?

I see the point. What was the reason ? SW programming issue ? Did RL committed to fix the issue ?
Anyway, the quick&dirty work-around would be to have from RL the 3DX template to re-target the bones in 1-click.

Hi,
what do you exactly mean with "auto-conversion" ? When I tried, the imported FBX was not automatically recognized as a character and I had to manually map each bone before being able to export as iAvatar.

The Remesh function does not work with iClone, and you can not export a Remeshed iAvater. This function is only available for Game Characters.

this is the current status and we know, but my point is different: is it possible make the low-poli readable by both 3DX and iClone without the bone remapping ? Because the skeleton structure does not change, so, what does it prevents 3DX to read it as an already rigged character, or transferring the low-poli directly to iClone ? My request is to enable these features. If you know precisely the SW code used by RL and can demonstrate that it is really not possible at all, I will withdraw my request, otherwise, pls, let's not jump to conclusions.
I believe many people here bought the Pipeline extension in order to generate low-poli crowds also for iClone and would appreciate an easy way to do that...

The FBX export is not intended to be used in iClone, it is for Game software. At the moment the only way to get low poly characters in to iClone is by using the Reduce Wearables Mesh option.
Remeshed characters do not work in iClone at the moment and therefor this option was removed by the Development team for the present.

Now, having a little experience (about 25 years...) in SW programming, I can tell you that there is no one single bit of difference between exporting a reduced mesh to FBX format or just exporting it as iAvatar: it is just a different format. That's what I am asking to RL: to provide a direct export to iClone directly in iAvatar format. Not rocket science...

Hm, i pre-ordered CC3 + Iray-Plugin but did not install yet, quite busy and want to wait till most issues are polished... BUT what i read from "RobertoColombo" and "wires" makes me wonder. LOD-function in CC3 Pipeline was one of my major reasons (crowds in iClone) to buy it. And the announcement said it would work in iClone! WHY is there no "send to iClone-button" for remeshed characters? And how did these characters (from my understanding not only "Reduce Wearables Mesh") shown in Promo-Video end up in iClone?

Roberto, The Beta tests proved that a remeshed iAvatar just doesn't work correctly at the moment and that is why the option has not been included. The mesh reduction option does work and permits full use of materials and collision shapes while not using too many resources.

OK that did not work. I tried to install again from the HUB and it says my disk C: is full.... UM really no kidding? I have windows set up to install new programs to drive F:/ and have had no problems with that until now. So how does the HUB turn this into mission impossible? LOL How sad and frustrating can it get?

When a CC3 character is reduced in poli-count (CC3 Pipeline new feature) and exported in FBX format, 3DX is not able to read and recognize it is a human character: it is requested to manually map the bones for a non-standard character. This makes no sense at all and generates a lengthy process to import a CC3 low-poli character back to iClone. Pls, fix 3DX so that it can recognize FBX characters generated by CC3 or at least provide a template for 1-click bone mapping, like in the case of 3D Max/May/etc.
Obviously, best solution would be to improve the low-poli export function in CC3 with the option to choose whether to generate the FBX file or rather send the low-poli character directly to iClone!

The Remesh function does not work with iClone, and you can not export a Remeshed iAvater. This function is only available for Game Characters.
In CC3, under InstalLOD, you can select to Reduce the Poly count for wearables.

It is also possible to reduce the Texture sizes of the clothing before export to reduce the load on the scene.

Exactly the same problem here, with 2 and, I was hoping it wouldn't occur, in 3 as well. Can't use :(
EDIT: Solution to this problem is download the program called Display Driver Uninstaller (Link Here), follow the instruction on cleaning out your old drivers, then reinstall the latest graphics drivers for your card and voila! Fixed.
