If you use DAZ in your Pipeline for Genesis Characters DO NOT upgrade to 4.9.2 yet

I am sounding the alarm since DAZ is not doing it to give fair heads up.

There is no way to revert back to the previous version  as with other platforms, and the FBX as it stands today is broken for DUF related expression export. I and a couple of folks have reached to to Daz only to get the runaround. Here's another customer who has been severely handicapped by the upgrade.

https://forum.reallusion.com/287158/When-will-we-get-the-DAZ-facial-pipeline-back-Latest-version-of-DAZ-has-broken-the-talking-character-conversion

I was brushed off and told "we will get our developers on this" after waiting 3 days for a response.  In my previous response, I asked for a link to the older version, a question I asked twice which was ignored.  SO, I have to wait another 3 days to maybe get the link after I asked for it again (3rd time)--meanwhile, an entire week will have gone by with  my inability to complete my project at this phase.  If you haven't upgraded yet, please do not until this is fixed, if it ever is.  Remember Daz customer service is not as good as reallusions.

All good points.. If I may suggest, there are always archives for older versions of sofware on the net. For example, and thats not even the best one, Cnet as former main repository service for DAZstudio, still have some older versions, 4.5 as newest I think. DazStudio

not going to work - takes you to 4.9

I take consolation in the fact Microsoft is gonna screw us all up long before DAZ3D or anyone else who sell software will, I am sure Reallusion knows the feeling all too well,

No no, other such links yes, but this one on Cnet, because they was distributors - not. It IS version 4.50.114 plus Genesis starter pack....

I have the same problem with expression editor. After I update DazStudio  it doesn't work anymore, there's no expression anymore.

I think the work around is just to have to manually set the vizemes in Expression Editor.
A little bit of a pain, but seems to work correctly.
I have been doing this as part of my pipeline for Unreal using Genesis 2.

i've had to do my own custom visemes from way back even when the duf was working,  i had customized my expressions / morph exports,  and for some reason this invalidated the duf file  -  after you do enough of them,  it becomes second nature and actually the preferred way over generic settings,  and is pretty routine once you memorize the settings.     Totally worth the extra step for the sake of having a larger morph selection built into my characters and customized expressions.

Hmmm. I export from DAZ with over 100 morphs for character creation in UE4.
I wonder if that is why I have to manually set the visemes, as you suggest?

I too prefer to do my own custom visemes, trying to add any expressions before or after using the iClone duf files totally screws up the visemes and most other settings when brought into 3DX, I always had to redo them so considered it a waste of time.
