Hello everyone! So, I have a question about how I should go about what I want to do. I am in the process of making a big realistic 3D animated series, Game of Thrones-style in terms of mood. Anyway, I am not sure what my workflow should be because of my specific needs. I make characters in CC4, but I want to make the eyebrows and hair using Maya's Xgen, and then
exporting it to Unreal and converting it as groom. I
export it to Unreal because that's where I will render the series. My first idea of a workflow was to make the character in CC4 (no eyebrows or hair), import to Maya to make the eyebrows and hair, then
export to Unreal to set up the hair physics. Problem is, that way, I don't think I would be able to use the Unreal auto setup tool for the character's materials, as I am assuming you can only do it if the character comes straight from CC or Iclone. So I was thinking I should make the character in CC,
export in Unreal with auto setup, then make the hair in Maya,
export to Unreal, and in Unreal somehow attach the two together. But I don't think that would give me the best result. Does anyway have a good idea of how I should go about this??
Thank you in advance!
