I was hugely disappointed to find that after buying the above packet to find that the actors cannot perform the motions , e.g. waiter picking up a plate - holding it up level - turning around and serving it to customer's table with the plate remaining level instead of going in circles and all over the place. I can create my own actors I would like to be able to buy accomplished motions.

There is a Library Volume 4 Catering and Entertainment pack for Cartoon Animator but you have posted in the iClone 8 forum so I'm not sure if this is the pack you are referring to. Can you post a link to the product page or post a screenshot showing the pack. Thanks.

The Volume 4 Tools Library quoted by you is correct. If you actually attach/link an object, e.g. a plate to the hand of any of the actors suggested to be used for these particular motion (service equipment, e.g. waiting on tables) tools, you will find that the object, e.g. a plate, lands upside down when served; also pouring from a teapot etc. is not at all straightforward, which is the ONLY REASON I bought these motions. Instead of bringing out newer and newer software versions, it would be nice if motion tools that REALLY WORK were sold by Reallusion. I have all the pro software versions including CA4 and rather than upgrading my graphics card & PC continuously, it would be nice to buy SMOOTHLY FUNCTIONING ANIMATION for existing software.

All you need to do is select a suitable hand sprite for carrying a plate using the Sprite Editor and then if the plate is positioned incorrectly just rotate it and/or reposition it. P.S. I've moved this to the Cartoon Animator forum. I'm still not sure why you posted your question in the iClone 8 forum. :ermm:

Dear Peter - I own all the professional animation versions up to CTA4 & also i-clone etc.. As mentioned I would welcome software TOOLS for smooth animation transitions to ease animation processes instead of new software edititions which require higher and higher spec PCs / Graphic Cards etc. . The solution proposed by you regarding actor's hand & plate manipulation immediately occurred to me and has been tried out. It's fiddly and time-consuming, whereas the reason I bought the tools was my belief that I would be saved this extra work. REALLUSION IS EXCELLENT AND THE BEST AVAILABLE, but I am sorry to say that I am hugely disappointed that you allow tools to be sold which do not do the job they are supposed to. Another deeply annoying issue is that almost all automatic motions have the actor return to the original position the motion was started at, which for my work completely defeats the purpose of smooth and continuing action. As I said, Reallusion animation software is the best, please make it even better for creative artists.
