Hello! I am new at using Cartoon Animator 4. I was planning on purchasing at the end of my 30 day trial I started today. I'm currently trying to create animations for a video game I'm working on called 'Super Ninja Beans!". I'm very new to animating and only have experience using this budget software called Spriter Pro. On Spriter, you upload each image individually on different layers and you can set bones on them to connect them and animate like that. I've been trying to do that on Cartoon Animator 4 but I do not know how even after almost 3 hours of googling and watch tutorials on YouTube. All I see is tutorials for is using one single image and applying mask effects with bones to create the animations which I'm not interested in doing with this specific project at the moment. My sprites have a body, feet and hands only using
floating limbs. I tried just uploading the PNG file as one whole image and mask out and add bones to each individual body part but only one piece of the 5 parts show up no matter what I try. I'm guessing the G3 characters must be one "person" or "object", all connected to each other as one shape-- not like my sprites with
floating body parts. Are there any alternatives for this method? Can I not simply animate using only layered images like Spriter Pro? If anyone can tell me how to do it or at least point me in the right direction that'd be very nice! I really like the software feautes and interface and I'm really hoping to invest 1,000's of hours into it. Thank you all for reading!
