Hi all. I finished another episode of my series, "Those Who Walk in Darkness", and would love to get any feedback. Most of this project was begun with avatars before the release of CC3 plus. I am excited to use the new avatars and lipsync/facial mocap update that has just become available...but that won't happen until the next episode. Here's the link:

Nice! I'm not really into fantasy or medieval stuff, but mixed with your superheroes, way better... :D Respect for the big amount of work you put into your projects! Well done!

Really nice! I'm new, everything takes me quite a bit of time because I am learning as I go. I have been working on a simple promo video with different cameras/scenes for days now. LOL. May I ask how long something of that complexity took you?

Thanks for the comments, everyone Toystorylab, I know the genre and story are not for everyone. That's cool. Thanks for taking the time to take a look anyway and drop me a note. For me, the genre is just huge fun. Michelle, I am up to Episode 8 on this series, and I would say that I produce roughly 2-3 episodes per year. I am retired and spend a lot of hours on it. But I do complete scenes far faster than I used to. Once you get past a certain amount of time in working with the program, you do get much faster. A well-planned script with at least some concept of how you want to storyboard the scene does help immensely, I find. But as a new user, you kind of have to understand the requirements and limitations of the program before you can effectively plan. Working on a single scene for days is certainly not uncommon, especially when you're starting out. But I still spend hours of animation time on sequences that only last a few seconds, especially in an action sequence. Tripfreak, thanks. I don't do any modeling, that's not my interest. My sets are mostly DAZ creations which I have dressed and tweaked. Most of the costumes are customized DAZ clothes as well.

Thanks, man. The ice effects took some time to do, and used rocks that had been give an icy texture, which were then animated by increasing the scale. So it appeared the ice was forming around the characters. I added a blue misty effect to the ice formation using the Hitfilm software.

That looks great and it's a fun story that fits its genre. I'm especially impressed with the voice acting and how you managed to get your voice and just a few others to sound so different for the different characters without them sounding too morphed. Clearly a ton of work to do a project that involved, but nice job all around! :-D

I appreciate your comments. I have had some really exceptional voice acting from different people, and they are all volunteers. I do have a lot of experience in audio. Trying to build up my animation skills.
