Hi everyone,
I am an indie game developer and wanted to get a tool where I can easily create multiple NPC characters (with almost no experience with modeling). I spent some time getting through all the different software and plugins and combination of packs to buy. As it was a bit confusing I want to make sure that I understood it right...

Character Creator 3 Pipeline ($199)
-
allows to export rigged models as fbx for Unity
- includes CC3 Base+ and CC3+ (is this the same?)
- includes SkinGen Premium, so with this 'Makeup SFX' and 'Realistic Human Skin' is included as well?
- includes InstaLOD
- Headshot

If I understood this right, it's awesome!

Another question is, if it is possible to cartoonify the models with the CC3 (version above) without buying the Cartoon Character Designer Add-On? Not only shaping the body and making big eyes, also that the hair templates within the library does look less realistic. Maybe with using the Heatshot (foto of hair and reduce their structure with Photoshop, then load with heatshot and the result is simplyfied hair?).

Thanks for your help :)

Hi...

Character Creator 3 Pipeline will allow you to create unlimited photorealistic characters and export them to game engines like Unity and Unreal.

The latest avatar base is CC3+ but you can still work with the older CC3 base avatars and indeed CC1 base avatars all of which can be converted to CC3+ if you want.

Character Creator 3 Pipeline includes SkinGen Basic but SkinGen Premium requires separate purchase. Likewise the Headshot Plug-in requires separate purchase (or of course you can purchase it all in a bundle). InstalLOD is included with Character Creator 3 Pipeline.

I hope this helps.

Oh then I must have misunderstood something... I saw this table: https://www.reallusion.com/iclone/3d-character.html#edition-comparison
And on the last colum "Creative Creator 3 Pipeline" says there would be SkinGen Premium and Headshot included.
How does this table work? Do I get Creative Creator 3 Pipeline for free if I buy iClone7? It is confusing ^^'

Would it then be possible to cartoonify the characters? With that combination of SkinGen and Headshot?
The Cartoon Designer Pack is too cartoony. I would like to create characters between high realistic and too cartoony :D

Or is it possible to combine/morph the realistic style with the cartoon pack? *thinking*

The chart shows the features supported by each version. However, plug-ins like SkinGen Premium and Headshot require additional purchase. We will  try to make this clearer in the chart.

If you purchase iClone 7 you get "Character Creator 3 For iClone" but this is not the Pipeline edition. You can see the differences between the FREE version that comes with iClone and the full featured Pipeline edition in the Edition comparison chart.
