Thanks for the quick reply, I thought I read the same, however when I go to the different bundles, it shows the Live Link icon only on the most expensive, and YES I  qualify for INDIE, so that answered my question, thanks again.

Hi there @nick_glassborow,
If you really want to render in Iray--and can't do a 30-series yet--of what you listed below, I'd say you want the RTX 2080. But I'm going to suggest you try tweaking your settings in CC3 and iClone to mimic Iray results in the native renderer. I posted some examples in this thread: Iray Render with 1080ti and talk about my settings. With the new Skingen stuff (which I haven't installed yet), it's only going to be better. It's amazing what the native renderer can do--it just takes time to try settings and lighting and tweak and tweak and tweak until you get something you like.

:-)

Hi Guys,

I just got a ZOTAC RTX3090 TRINITY 24GB GDDR6X 384BIT VIDEO CARD! It's amazing. If you really want to get the best out of iClone/Unreal RTX 3090  is the way to go.  24 GIG video Ram makes all the difference for 4k video editing and 3D animation work. If you are into any of that? RTX 3090 is the only way to go.

Also for PC uses early next year 11th Gen Rocket Lake desktop processors will be out sometime in the first quarter of 2021, with PCIe 4.0 support onboard WOW cant wait :)

Some of the new features being introduced with 11th Gen Intel Core S-Series include:
New Cypress Cove architecture featuring Ice Lake Core architecture and Tiger Lake Graphics architecture.
Double-digit percentage IPC performance improvement.3
Better gen-over-gen performance.
Up to 20 CPU PCIe 4.0 lanes4 for more configuration flexibility.
Enhanced Intel UHD graphics featuring Intel Xe Graphics architecture.
Intel® Quick Sync Video, offering better video transcoding and hardware acceleration for the latest codecs.
New overclocking features5 for more flexible tuning performance.
Intel® Deep Learning Boost and VNNI support.
The 11th Gen Intel Core S-Series desktop processors, launching in 2021’s first quarter, will deliver amazing performance and flexibility to meet a range of needs for gamers and content creators.

Can't wait to get my hands on one :) iClone will never be the same again...

Any thoughts as it a great talking point?

Kelleytoons,
I recently ordered from GPUnation; I am a little skeptical about this site because ive never heard of it. That not to say that it isn't a real sight, but I'm curious about your experience from ordering the GPU on that site. Granted, I ordered it on Wednesday, and that was before the Thanksgiving holiday; they haven't reach back to me, just sent a confirmation email. How long did it take for you to get the 3090 GPU?

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!!!! I have a claim through navy federal right now because they never returned my emails and request for tracking information. They are investigating the situation right now and said if they don’t hear back from them in 3 weeks then I’m the credit they put back on my account is permanent.

Yes, sorry I didn't get back sooner.  I also got my money back from my credit card company.  The site is clearly a scam although, for the life of me, I can't figure out what the scam is (since you can get your money refunded fairly easily).  Perhaps they truly thought they could get the cards in?  I dunno, but they aren't real (not only was their website only put up less than a month ago, but their parent company is for musicians for hire for things like weddings and some such).

Never got your message.

If you read my message above, you'll see that GPUNation never shipped, although they both phoned and emailed me a NUMBER of times telling me it was "on its way", which it clearly was not.  They even sent me, at one point, a photo of a USPS label supposedly showing they had shipped (they had not - the Post Office never got the package).  The billing address is for musicians to work private gigs, like weddings and such, and has nothing to do with computers.  They are clearly a scam, and I told my credit card company, they investigated, found out it was a fraud, and I got my money back.
