I have a scene utilizing two cameras. I have a character that does not look at the camera until the first switch. I set it to look at camera and then release, but when the camera switches it doesn’t follow the camera, it looks forward. When I look at the constraint track, everything looks correct.

Here is how you can set it:

Note though, if a character has hair physics enabled, then head turn in one frame would cause hair *splash*, you should move *Look at set* further to the right to make a smooth head turn (you can cut those frames out after render in NLE if you want).

Thanks. I’ll check this out. Also, what kind of file is the flag that you shared the other day? I downloaded it, but i’m Not sure what to do with it.

And my biggest issue with "Look At" started with iC6 and I did a FT request with no resolution. I think it's a valid request unless I'm doing something wrong which is always possible

I requested the ability to create a keyframe when one clicked "Set Free" at any point before a look-at target had been selected. Because if one selects a Target or a Camera for an avatar to look-at say 5 secs into a scene the avatar will start "drifting/easing in" to that  look-at target if there isn't a "Set Free" keyframe just before the keyframe for the look-at keyframe.

What, at least I have to do, is set a target then select "Set Free" copy that "Set Free" and drag it just before the "Look at" keyframe so the avatar won't drift so long going into the "look at" target.

Complicated description for sure but I can't create a "Set Free" till after I have set a target key, which seems as it should, except for that potentially long drifting-ease in time before the target keyframe is reached.

Hi, i fully agree. This is something that also bugs me.
Whenever i stumble upon this, i always think like 'why is there no option to create a 'Set Free' key?'
I'm not running my iClone machine currently, but i remember that right-clicking in the timeline and setting the constraint to 'off' doesn't help here.

But you guys can create "Set free" key, as I have shown on the screenshot (I just named it release :))
Enable look at camera at frame 1, drag the cursor to the right, Set free and delete key at frame 1.
Now you have a stand alone "Set free" key, which you may replicate, drag anywhere you want... etc.

Good point 4u2' ! But I wish it would just lay down a key at any point or place on the timeline...;)
