Unreal Update along with IC 7.8

Besides transferring characters, cameras, and lights, more highly-wished features are supported in iClone 7.8, Unreal Live Link 1.2, and Auto Setup 1.1

Updated Features:
  • Shader Compatibility
    Supporting latest Digital Human Shader for eye elements and SkinGen compatibility
  • Soft Cloth Physics
    Transferring iClone Soft Cloth Physics and Collision Mesh to Unreal Engine, with compatible NVIDIA PhysX cloth effects. Those features are applicable for FBX import and Live Link transfer.

  • Prop Transfer and Skin Bone Animation
    Not only static props can be directly transferred from iClone to Unreal, props with skin bone animation can also Live Link to Unreal in real-time.

  • Update in iClone 7.8: SSS Shader for Accessories & Props
    SSS shaders are enabled in iClone 7.8 for both props and accessories. You can find a new SSS Material Library which provides many translucent rendering such as jelly, glass, skin or soft plastics. Those SSS effects are also transferable to Unreal Engine.



A total of seven features have been added, and four issues have been fixed:

Added:
  • Supports CC3+ character base and compatible SkinGen settings with FBX pipeline and direct Live Link transfer (AutoSetup required).
  • Supports Digital Human Shader for eye elements such as tearline and occlusion mesh with FBX pipeline and direct Live Link transfer (AutoSetup required).
  • Supports direct transfer of Props and Non-Human Character to the Unreal Engine, with the ability to Live Link realtime animation.
  • Supports direct transfer of Light Shape and IES Light to Unreal Engine, with full parameter and texture mapping.
  • Supports Reallusion SSS Shader, Props, and Characters (AutoSetup required).
  • Supports parameter level Digital Human Shader compatibility via FBX pipeline or direct Live Link transfer (Auto Setup required).
  • iClone Soft Cloth Physics and Collision Mesh are now transferrable to Unreal Engine, with compatible NVIDIA PhysX cloth effects. These features are applicable both for FBX import and Live Link transfer.
Fixed
  • Unreal giving crash report after Live Link is installed and application is closed. (FT#6630)
  • Cook Content for Windows & Package Project fails when Live Link is active. (FT#6663)
  • Unreal crashing while transferring Spotlights from iClone.
  • DOF not syncing with Unreal 4.23 and 4.24. (FT#6782)

Auto Setup for Unreal v1.1

A total of four features added, two issues enhanced and one issue fixed:

Features Added:
  • Added: Compatibility:
    • Unreal Engine 4.23, 4.24, and 4.25
    • Character Creator 3.3
    • iClone 7.8
    • Unreal Live Link Plug-in 1.2 for iClone
  • Added: Support for CC3 Base+ characters.
  • Added: iC / CC and UE Shader Mapping: iC/CC Digital Human Shader and SSS shader visual effects are sent to UE and remade inside UE. 
  • Added: iC / CC and UE Physics Mapping: Character, accessory, props, soft-cloth, and collision shape settings are sent to UE and data is then mapped.

Enhanced:
  • Enhanced: Shortened the texture names and file paths (by removing " pbr / tra / Transparency ") to conform with Windows API limitation of 256 characters.
