Yes I've been really trying out a lot in the native render.  I think someone a lot more talented than me could get some amazing stuff out of it.  My next endeavor is to start with a comic format.  I love 3d. and I happen to have a couple of 3d tablets, the visual o it are great. no glasses needed.

I may post some 3d blue/red images. on some 3d flip.
