Looks pretty good. I watched a tutorial about doing CC hair in Blender. "It's not that hard," the tutorial said. Yeah right, just 37 "simple" but very technical steps, 32 of which are not very obvious.
I'm not afraid of a challenge, and I still want to make a rudimentary hairstyle once, just to see if I can make it work, but after watching the process I sure can understand why so few people create hairstyles for CC.
Good luck, and try to remember you're having fun.

Good luck, and try to remember you're having fun. I agree with you. There is no sense in doing something without fun

I hate to say this now (because it's "famous last words" time) but I DO know how to create hair using Blender, and while the process is arcane and overly complicated by a lot of folks out there, there really are only about five steps and they are all easy to master. I've actually gotten to the point where I know pretty much how to do what hair I need (but my hair needs may be more simple than others). I've debated over whether to make a video explaining it -- for one thing, it requires a very specific pay addon in Blender which, although only around $35, means that only folks willing to buy and use that will benefit. But I'd be glad to do it and I can promise you that if you want the process is really easy and straightforward. However, it's one of those "it took me a LONG time to figure it all out" and while I'm not the sort to want to hoard knowledge from others, it was so hard earned I'd have to be a little persuaded to share.

I am in. I have always wanted to make my own hair because even though there is starting to be more available, it is never what I really need. I will spend the money for the add-on as needed. Thanks!

I am interested as well. Clothing is too complicated for me, but hair is something I actually have a need for. A hair pack easily costs more than $35, so it would be a bargain. AND (bonus for me), it would encourage/force me to do something with Blender. I may like it!

After an underwhelming try years ago, i never re-started the big project "use Blender!"... So this could be an oppurtunity

Okay, I'll try and get this together in the next few days (I think my voice is just about cleared up to be reliable). I'm not exactly sure where I'll post this in these forums, but we'll think of something (XChange, iClone and Character Studio are all involved, of course, but the star is Blender and the plugin).
