Hi,
thanks for the answer. Yeah, I started to play a bit with Unity3D, following some tutorials and also checking other tutorials for Unreal. My impression is that Unreal gives a cleaner I/F compared to UNity, and also very powerful as you can do a lot of stuff through the GUI rather than in SW. On the other hand, Unity seems also to me easier, because many things just need to be coded in C#, rather than going through complicated graphs. Because I have a solid backgriorund in SW programming, I am not scared to use C++ (which i already know, even though not at an advanced level) or C#.
Apart from these things, what is your epxerience on those SW ? Are the results comparable ? Did you find any major important feature that is not available on one of them ? Did you experieinced any major bottleneck on one of them ?
Thanks Cheers
Roberto

Hi Roberto,
I couldn't find the link either...!!!! I've been using (learning) both and this is my personal view. Unity "seems" a little be easier and you can find so many tutorials. UE4 is my favorite (don't know exactly why.. haha..) but more complexe. The programming language of Unity is C# and C++ for UE4. I think C# is more user friendly than C++ .. for me anyway.

Hi all,
I remember that sometime ago there was a post discussing which game engine is suitable for a learning from scratch. Unfortunately I did not save the link and now I would like to read it again: I tried some advanced search on teh Forum but could not find teh link. I will appreciate if anybody who saved it can help me to recover that thread.
Thanks Cheers
Roberto
