iClone refuses to launch with 3DXchange installed

Latest versions of both apps. If 3DXchange is installed, iCLone will just not launch. Windows 10. Uninstalling 3DXchange allows iClone to function. I can save things to iClone's library fine, after uninstalling 3DX iClone can launch and the new items will be there as expected.

Thank you very much for your feedback.

When launching iClone 6, 
did you see any error message like "Load Resource Failed for IC3DXPlugin.rcc, failure for [IC3D1f0c]" ? If you saw this message, the issue you mentioned has been verified, please go visit below link for the workaround.

I get absolutely no message,  just the icon flashes and something prevents it from opening, it immediately shuts down. Is there some sort of path check happening,  some permissions issue? The library folders are on a separate internal hard drive,  the applications on c. System Drive.

Did you patch iClone and 3DXchange to  6.5 or did you do a full install?

If you only patched both products, then it might be wise to fully uninstall them both and reinstall. You can download the latest 6.5 versions of both products from your Member Account.

Now install the full version of iClone 6.5, then close down iClone 6, and install the full version of 3DXchange 6. Now before starting either product restart your computer and then try to open iClone 6. If all went well iClone 6 should open without any issues.

Sorry, that didn't help.I've done fresh installs of both products. Restarting afterwards doesn't resolve it. Something is getting checked when iClone begins to start, it doesn't like whatever that is, and it fails to launch. Now, what exactly can that thing be, I think the developers would be able to answer that. Is there a way to get this to their ears? I filed a ticket 100104. I haven't gotten a reply yet.

I have no idea if this has anything to do with it, but the 3DX installer says it in installing 6.4, but the website lists 6.5 as the official version. 

Also, I tried reinstalling with a different data folder location on another drive, that didn't change anything, so it doesn't appear to be a permissions issue with accessing the library. I don't know if I should try uninstalling Character Creator, it is about all I haven't tried so far.

I just wanted to mention they issued a fix for the installer, it was still the older version so didn't properly function with iClone 6.5. I'm so happy it wasn't machine specific ghost bug that would haunt me forever. Thanks to the Reallusion QA and dev team for getting this fixed. Everything works fine now, and it looks like my demo period reset, so maybe I have some more free conversions available before I get the full version.

If the 3DXchange 6 installer was saying 6.4 then that was the problem. Please always try to mention if you are using a trial version as this will help resolve the problem quicker. However it is great news that you have now got everything working. :)

When I installed 3dxchange pipeline, it made clone and character creator stop working. I first got the error message "MSvcr120.dll in missing. Then it was msvcp120.dll, then other files. Those files by the way, were not missing. 
This happened on two different computer. The first was a Macbook Pro using bootcamp for Windows 10. The other was a desktop PC. Everything was working fine until I installed 3dxchange. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail.
Please advise.

This problem seems to come up now and then. The files belong to Visual Studio 2013 Runtime. The solution is that if they are reported missing, you can try to reinstall: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784.
