Until the release of CC1.5 you cannot alter the geometry of CCHair, for instance you can not get rid of the ugly sideburns on the male hair provided but you can make changes to color.  You can bring in hair from other sources such as DAZ and alter them any way you like as they will be an iAccessory.

I can't find much information on hair in Character Creator. Does the free package come with hairstyles?  How many are there?  Can you alter them, beyond just scaling and rotating?  Can you change the color and texture, or add different segments separately for front, top, sides, and back, like braids or a pony tail, for example? I need some details on this.
