Ken, make sure when you add something to your scene that the timeline is at "0".

This happens to me as well sometimes that I start adding things without the timeline at "0" and everything will move mysteriously out of place.

One way to fix this without starting over is to move the timeline to the point where the prop is in the right place and then right-click the prop and select "Remove object animation". It will then stay in that position everywhere along the timeline.

Frustrated...
I have learned from past experiences that when things keep going bad the same way to leave them for awhile.
I finally made the Room in Bethlehem. Then I linked everything to the rear wall and the rear wall finally to the floor.
The curtains on the windows are attached to their respective wall and things are supposed to stay in place.
Then I turned something and the curtains turned sideways and the walls all moved.
Started over three times and at some point it would happen again.
I finally got it all in place and linked and saved it for the day.
Tomorrow I will put some furniture in and then I will be ready to add avatars and voices.
I may get some more scenes finished before long.

Too much life stuff.
I drove over an hour this morning to get about 15km. Traffic here is terrible.
When I got there I found out that they now have a branch store a few minutes from my home.
I had two printers serviced. One had a Lego in it from my son and needed a new color cartridge.
The other had some small pieces of wood in it from when the ceiling fell in last week in my office. Glad it happened at 2AM. It also needed a new black cartridge.
the cartridges are refillable so I can just add ink when they get low.
Tomorrow morning I want to install the printers again, do a little exercise and then get back to trying to hang some curtains on the windows of Ruth's house. I have been working on that for the past week.
I sure will be glad when things calm down again. I hope it is soon.

After trying to figure out where all the money went and doing a budget, I am back at it again.
I don't really want to go back to iClone5. Guess I have been here too long. I cannot put the wind into the scenes there so I figured I may as well stay here for the course.
My problem now is making a suitable place for them to live in Bethlehem I have a room with two windows. I know I don't need to make the complete thing because the shots here will all be closeups. I am a bit out of practice and putting curtains on the windows isn't easy when you are not sure what you are doing. (I can't put them up here either.)
I have been working on that part this morning. It would be nice if I can figure out how to make a breeze blowing in the window to move the curtains a little if I ever get them fixed right. I have time to work on this part. I don't really have a deadline except I would like to get this finished before Christmas this year.
I do like to see progress though, even if it is a little at a time. I am sure that once I figure out some of these things the rest will fall into place as it will be a little of the same with a few modifications.

You are not alone in that aspect Ken. I can honestly say there is not one piece of hardware in my computer or anyone else here, that wasn't made in Asia. From the case to the hard drives. Only the electricity and dust that's going into my computer is made in the US. Before Essential, New Egg, and others. I strictly went into the Chinese neighborhood to get all my computer hardware cheaper than retail. No tax, in some places. I only got laughed at twice when a new motherboard upgrade didn't work. Once I needed Windows XP, and the other was when they started adding a CPU power socket next to the CPU, and I had no clue even to look for it. I had a hard time with iC 6 finding things too. But I've gotten to like it better. It comes real handy for myself, because I have a lot of different skin tones in my avatars, and I use lots of different outfits. And with iClone 5 and before, it is almost impossible to change to match the shoe skin, hand skin etc, without affecting the others, even when the materials are all the same box is checked. I would have to go and try to match it in Photoshop. With iC6, if I adjust the skin colors in the materials group, I can adjust the separate parts in real time. For me the best thing is the unlimited lighting tools. I loved your Halloween story, but there were scenes I was hoping for more ambient lighting because the faces I thought was a little too dark. Once you get used to where everything is, you will probably never go back. There is just too much more things you can do with iC 6, than iC5. Don't let impatience stop you from using all that talent you have. Almost everyone is still learning how to do things with iC6, and how to cut corners. I'm learning something new everyday. Just remember there is probably nothing you can do in iC5 you cant in iC6. Whichever you use, keep up the good work.

Home built; ASRock X570 Pro 4, AMD Ryzen 9-5950X CPU, AMD RADEON RX6900XT, 16GB video card, 131GB of RAM.

First of all, thanks for all the support and help everyone here is giving me.
Many of the problems I have here are from not having US made stuff. Much of what we have here comes from China and Taiwan. There is also a language difference even though they speak English.
The guy locally is very knowledgeable about the New computer. It is the only one he sells and he seems to know it inside and out. The problems seem to come when you use different software that he is not familiar with. I took the operating system he had on the computer off and added the one I had from my disk. They were similar but it was a little different. I think that messed him up.
The rest of the stuff we need to learn here. Most shops are like that. They know what they sell and not much else.
The way things are going now it looks like the main help I should need from here on out will be with iClone and everyone there knows that program.(except me).
thanks again. I will be posting on here regularly though.
Only the printer to get serviced now and I will be back in business completely.

Ken, I would leave the thread here as you will have more exposure and it is actually not possible to move a thread yourself. It's also become a familiar place...

And, even those of use who now work with iClone 6 are quite familiar with iClone 5 and can assist. Just mention what iClone version you are using.

It's a pity no-one lives near you, because I think you are in need of some serious technical assistance. Many members here are quite computer-savvy, but it's hard to do without seeing the actual system. What you reported in the other thread about how you "lost" Windows 7, that just shouldn't happen.

100% agree with everything you said.

Also, while reading Ken's posts, I have felt a mild lack of trust in his local computer shop.  I feel he's getting questionable support, and maybe worse than that.  Some of the problems just sound so strange and out of the ordinary.  But maybe it's the way business is done there.

If I was an hour away, I would have been there helping weeks ago.

I am going to move the construction of the movie to iClone 5.51. That is more familiar territory and I can find things quicker there.
I only had the opening scenes completed and I can keep them and just move things over later. I will probably redo them a little and maybe just make them again with 5.51 and then later I can move the complete project over to iClone 6. I am wondering if I should move this thread over to the iClone5 forum or leave it here.
