Glad to be of help. I have PMd you about this for you to have if it is of any use. The textures could quite easily be changed if you wish. Please get in touch.

Hi PennaStudios,

I have been working on this, Hajib, I have made two styles and five textures each.

One goes over the clonecloth Whole Dress, and a "modern" style that tucks in at the neck.

Should be up in a day or two at LRS3d.com

I can also convert the model you have, PM me if you are interested.

Hello Junior,

In your above hijab (hajib is a government official ;) ) is the accessory for the head pliable at the neck line? Meaning is the mesh like poser clothes, where it's conforming to the body and if the shoulders move on the lower section of the head scarf is all that's moving, and vice versa, if the heads moving the mesh at shoulder level isn't moving? A similar deal could be made for chainmail and such. But to look decent it would have to flex with the actor.

I'm not seeing any tutorials on making clothing props. Plenty on static and animated props, or characters them self, but nothing on say like making clone cloth.

Appreciate your reply

Thankyou for your spelling correction, I have already changed the spelling as penastudio wrote to me as well. Although I am not Muslim, we have a large Muslim community and I see lots of women when I go to the market.

The hijab bends at the neck and shoulders and will only fit G2 Jane and over her clonecloth whole dress. If there is enough interest I will model a proper dress ( less form fitting).

I have tested them in iC3 as well and only need a slight ajusment in the "y" scale for them to fit.

I will try to get them up into my store tonight, and will also submit them to reallusion too, but that can take up to 6 weeks to get into the store here.

As for modeling, I use max and any generic tutorials on LOW-poly modeling will be helpful.

I started with the white-papers here in the developers section. Skinning is the challenge, and the vns exporter has its own quirks.

the most important thing is to make sure your Material maps are named with the part.

for example: the material for the Upper is named "Upper" or is will usually crash and close max.

Thankyou Warlord for your kind words.

****

Clone cloth is just the clothing over the basic body.(available in the iClone CCD Max templates)

normally you would delete any skin under clothes that cannot be seen, to keep the size of the model small. (Ie lower number of polygons in your model.)

"clonecloth" style clothing is a little more challenging to make as the clothing and body need to bend at the same time and keep the body inside the clothing.
