I am a teacher with multiple Web pages (on the Moodle platform) on my College server.

I'm having trouble with self-hosting.

I have tried to upload my Widget. It worked on a fake Moodle Web page, the only one on a special server. But, when I try again on the regular server on which I have space divided into different folders for different Moodle Web pages (and different courses) nothing works.

I have exported the Widget to a new location on my computer and to a new location on the server and copied the new HTML code. But it does not work.

I guess the problem is I have trouble figuring which "Hosting URL" to use.

Should I use the URL of the page where the widget will be shown, the URL of the page modifying this resource (that is the URL of the page where I will type the HTML code), the URL of the folder which contains all the resource files for the entire Web page? Please clarify what you mean by "Hosting URL".

Also, do I only need to upload the _SourceFile and then copy the HTML code or is there anything else?

Please help!

Hi Catherine,

I believe when you export, you need to put the URL of the page where you're uploading the _SourceFile to. I think if you link it to your folder that contains all your resource files (or if you have multiple widgets for the same site, I would create subfolders in your main resource folder and input that into your Hosting URL), that would work.

ie. http://website.com/resource/widget1 with 'widget1' being my subfolder. Then just make sure that when you upload the _SourceFile, you put it in that 'widget1' subfolder.

You only need to upload the _SourceFile. Open the 'online' file that was also created with Notepad and copy the code (it tells you between where and where). Then when you go into your website where you're typing the html code, find where on the page you want the widget to appear and that's where you paste your copied code.

Hope this helps. :)

I solved my self-hosting problem. Thank you!

But it's confirmed: "unchecking" the "share" option on the toolbar of the popVideoConverter does not work.

Let's hope Reallusion will fix this problem.

In the meantime, I'll try to see how I can change my widgets so they can work like yours.
