I am not sure this suggestion makes sense or not, but here it is.

There are good quality contents out there, made by different CCD members, each having their own stores. If a buyer wants to create accounts on each of the stores, it will mean more passwords, more stores to log in, more places to enter payment info, different payment methods, etc. Is it possible for all the CCD members to set up and share a common store? Or integrated into iClone stores?

I think this is highly unlikely DesertWalker. It is quite obvious there is rivalry going on in this forum between developers. Even the most naive, blind or just someone in their own world must be ware of this. The amount of self congratulations is sometimes overpowering and to be honest, petulant. I agree that people need to be congratulated on their work as I do this constantly as you will see on many different threads. However I only do this once where some do this with replication and in numerous threads. I do this less frequently now as some have brought it upon themselves to be forum police with less than friendly PMs I have received.

Anyway, getting back to your question. There is a content store with all of CCD content developers on it and that is Realluson's. My preference which is blindingly obvoius is Clones2go. Their content is excellent, competitively priced and they have quite a few CCD members as quest creators. However without being accused of being bias there are other that come to mind like Arteria3d and Coolcreators

Hi Flyby. Forget the 'forum police' or anyone else for that matter. Your opinion is as good and relevant as anyone else's. Speak your mind.

My opinion, (and I'm never wrong), is that things are good as they are. Rivalry maybe, but for the most part in a good way. Each brings their own, and again for the vast majority of the time we all benefit. We are lucky to have so many choices from so many avenues and I for one enjoy visiting each and every site. Its part of the iClone experience.

Personally, I feel the same as gizmo and don't think of third party storefronts as "rivalary" but rather more options for the iClone user and feel that it would be wonderful if a Renderosity type site existed as a means for the various developers to market and network their goods apart from this forum. However, at this point I would have never known of a few storefronts had they not posted here. The down side is that I almost missed the existence of Arteria3d who produce the most amazing quality sets I have yet seen for iClone outside of Reallusion due to the thread almost being buried.

I am not sure about naive, but I will take blind as a compliment :). I once had a colleague who was blind. He was very good at what he did and was one of the nicest persons I ever met.

Back to the topic. Although all CCD contents in one store (either a separate CCD store or all go into RL store) will be the most convenient for customers, I know it will not be as simple as a few email exchanges among the CCD content developers and a store is born. It will be a business decision among them. There will be pros, such as better awareness by customers, sharing of maintenance cost, sharing of web traffic, potential increase in sale per customer visit (think about someone goes out for milk and comes back with milk, plus cokes, bagels, cream cheese, and some chips). There will be cons, too. They will be the best ones to know. It is a suggestion from my perspective as a customer (perhaps a lazy one) who doesn't want to keep track of what are new to each of the CCD content sites, and emerging artists in iClone content making world.

Competition, however, should not be a factor to prevent it from happening. Go into any store, one can find competing products from different manufacturers sitting side by side on the shelves.

By the way, I think the competition is fair, healthy and good for the community. If anything, we need more people making more quality contents. But that also depends on more people start making more movies/videos which will create demands for them.
