Hi,

Many side bars require Java Script to pop up the image/video. However, many web sites, including this forum prohibit java script due to security concerns. If you wish to run side bars with java script, you can do self hosting, or in some service provider that supports java script (e.g. blogger.com as far as I know).

Regards,
Alan

hi, thank you for responding

Selfhosting did not solve the problem, look at the link

http://www.pcp.dtpnet.de/test/playground/playground

the first applet shows the applet connceted by the webpage:)

the second applet shoes the embeded Applet with the code of the webpage

an the result:

it does not work embeded, the video will no be shown

the same result is, if i generate the Applet as Adobe AIR und install it on my computer.

hans jörgen

Hi,

I am not familiar with DokuWiki, the Wiki service you are using, but apparently it modified the embed code to non-executable code. The first showcase works because DokuWiki does not prohibit iframe, and your server does support java script, therefore the widget can run java script in the html page and render in the wiki page.

I would suggest you to check if there is a way to enable DokuWiki supports java script, otherwise using iframe would be the solution.

BTW, I also run a test on blogger.com, here is how sidebar should look like.

Regards,
Alan
