Hi,

I'm new to the land of iClone, but I've been using another animations software for a while. I needed something less limiting and with more fantasy props and animations. IClone fit the bill for that one. I love this software, but I know I've got a lot of learning to do. I've been toying with it for a few days, but alas, my graphics card is a sad, sorry, thing, but I've downloaded it to my son's computer, which he grudgingly is allowing me to use until I buy the new graphics card. :)

I've got big plans with iClone. My intention is to turn my novel into an animated movie by combining iClone and another program. Now I've just got to create some mythical characters, which I hope to do using clone bones. Also, I'm working on a horror series entitled Demon Chaser.

I hope everyone is doing well and won't mind a few newbie questions now and then. Thanks to all who have helped me out so far! :)

Welcome sbmartinbooks to the forum... I found myself in the same boat wanting to learn other animation software that's not limiting but also faster in the production process than higher end 3D software packages. I think iClone is a great tool to use to output for many mediums and you'll find alot of people here to help you with any questions. :)

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I've started off by watching all the iClone made movies I can find and I must say they're excellent! Also, I made sure to listen to all The Wolf and Dulci hour shows. And I've been going through the tutorials. If anyone has any suggestions for a newbie I'd apreciate it. :)

I'm throwing my hat in the ring, so to speak, for the War and Peace competition. Hopefully I'll have it complete within the next few days. It's titled "The Cost of War." The soundtrack I"m using was made by my cousin about 20+ years ago. It's a story put to music about what he went through during the Vietnam war.

Hi, Shirley and thanks for convincing me to give Iclone a try. I love it and am now able to create a lot of characters that I will use along with Moviestorm via chromakey. I probably will stick to Moviestorm for all my sets though and a lot of other things but this is great for those characters and motions you can't do with Moviestorm.
