When changing the colors of a material (Diffuse, Ambient, Specular), currently you have to click on the itty-bitty triangle on the color button, play with the color tool, and then hit Okay.

If you don't get quite the result you wanted, you repeat... and repeat... and repeat... and repeat...

It would be great if the color changes took place in real-time while you played with the color palette.  That would be similar to how the sliders work for Opacity, Glossiness, etc.

In face, it would even more cool if the color palette tool for "Material Settings" actually three radio buttons on top, so you could toggle between Diffuse/Ambient/Specular without even having to close the palette tool.

Nice suggestion. I've done what you said many times. Going back and forth trying to get the color right.

I actually have a fix for that. I think of it as a patch, but it works.

Create a a small, neutral gray tile in a photo editor. It can literally be a single pixel, but I usually do 128 square. Now, in iClone, go to the texture settings. Double click on the diffuse square, and choose your gray tile.

Now that there is a diffuse texture(that happens to be a flat color) you can use the color adjust sliders that work in real time.Smile

Thanks for the suggestions. These have been passed to the iClone team for consideration. Smile
