Hello everyone,

Just found iClone recently, and love the promises it hold. I was considering buying it and using right away on a project at hand - I have some plates where I need to match a 3D model along with their motions/limb movements. What would be the best workflow for iClone to do that? Can I use the footage to be set as background of the orthographic view and animate along?

Please let me know, hope to have a great time with you guys in the days ahead! :)

With Iclone you can't have three or four viewpoints open at once as you can in many 3D programs.  But if your video footage is taken from one angle then that isn't a problem in getting off to a good start.

In Iclone you can create or adjust character's poses with the 'Edit Motion Layer' functions.  You can place video footage in the background or have it play on a billboard or even as a texture on an object.

I remember addressing that in the "Wishful features" at least one time.

I will give in to my curiosity...

@Narkissos...  WHY?

Why is it you need to have an avatar match some existing motion?  Is this meant to be a low-budget version of motion capture?  Or what?

Just curious.

P.S.
