That bow and arrow that comes with the assassin's playset looks really nice, and I was think of buying it, but I don't suppose there's a way to animate it? Specifically getting the string to draw back?

The "Hive" one that came with CC2 just has the bow and the arrow as one prop, so this is unusable for anything animated, I guess.

I saw there's something on the marketplace, but I'm not sure how good that would look

I am not familiar with the assassin's bow or the hive bow you mention, but most of the DAZ bows have morphs so they can be pulled back and released. These can be brought over to Iclone along with the morphs.  Animating them is quite possible, though something of a pain. I suspect the assassin's bow also has such morphs built in, but I can't confirm it.

Thanks for the response. Since you said that the Assassin's bow may already have morphs on it, I guess I would like confirmation from Reallusion or someone if this is true.

I'd much rather go that route instead of importing and whatever all the other steps that this would entail.

The bow is available on its own in the marketplace (250 pts) but there is no mention of any morphs...even though the assassin promo image seems to show it pulled back and ready to be fired.

I noticed that as well. The promo image shows the guy pulling it back, unless that's an illusion where it's just his arm doing the motion? 

There's gotta be someone who has purchased that bow or the entire Assassin's pack that can confirm?

I really need a working bow and arrow lol. The arrow part I can manually animate myself, I really just need the string to bend - although ideally the bow too

So no one here purchased the assassin's pack, or the standalone bow from the marketplace? (not the content store, the solo bow is only on the Marketplace...for some reason).

I just wanna know if the bow has morphs.

I just checked my Assasins pack but cant find any morphs in place for the bow.
I supose you are expected to create your own.
I also have an "English Archer" from an old 100 years war pack. It contained a great animated project where the archer would pull an arrow from his quiver, then load and fire it with the bow. I have redownloaded that from my inventory but 3dx wont convert the .vns files  and I can`t make it work in IC7. Sorry I can`t be more positive.

That's a shame, they made such a beautiful bow but unusable without any morphs. Such a half measure. It's only useful if you plan to pose pretty with it.

Well, if anyone can make a working bow, I'll buy it.

I'm planning on using this bow for an upcoming scene so I guess I'll let you know if I figure something out. Can the draw strings be animated? The motion pack for the assassin comes with an animation pulling back the (imaginary) strings, so I guess its just a matter of seeing what can be animated. I guess I could then save the motion clip for someone else to use right?

Yeah ,I have a pulling back and firing motion too, but without the string and bow moving  I guess it'll take some camera manipulation to sell the shot.

Soooo disappointed.
