Here comes the 2. Little Project. Yesterday Robert has found the Stopwatch example in the wiki. It hasn't worked, because the Stop_Watch.ui was missed. So I have made my first ui - file with the QT Designer. For more improvements load the Stop_Watch.ui in the QT designer.
I also have made the dialog window greater in the phyton script. I can only upload them as .txt files, so you must rename it, if you want to use it, in Stop_Watch.ui and stopuhr.py Both file must be in one folder. Then you can load the stopuhr.py in iClone as a phyton script. Would be great, if we could upload ui-files directly and also .py files. Greetings Tesira

Meantime I have learned some about the prop functions. In this demo are shown a lot examples, but it has brought Errors. http://manual.reallusion.com/iclone/script/python/class_r_l_py_1_1_r_i_prop.htmlSo I have changed it and added some lines. More about my experiencies and also the script you can get here: https://forum.reallusion.com/427963/iClone-und-Phyton?PageIndex=7&Update=1#bm428867Greetings Tesira

…. well, I very consistent have written Phyton instead Python allover ….. without remarking this ….. on YouTube I have corrected, here I can't …. maybe a moderator can do please ….and now I also have a sky and a bit more dramatic ….. .... also I have made now a second file and defined there some little functions, to make the life more easy.... for example: def transforms(i,j,k): transform = RLPy.RTransform.IDENTITY transform.T().x = i transform.T().y = j transform.T().z = k return transform in the main.py I then only have to write : transform = transforms(-50.0,-50.0,-50.0) Greetings Tesira

WTF? Python 2? That is at the endo its life. cf Wikipedia "Python 2.0 was released on 16 October 2000 with many major new features, including a cycle-detecting garbage collector and support for Unicode. [40]Python 3.0 was released on 3 December 2008. It was a major revision of the language that is not completely backward-compatible.[41] Many of its major features were backported to Python 2.6.x[42] and 2.7.x version series. Releases of Python 3 include the 2to3 utility, which automates (at least partially) the translation of Python 2 code to Python 3.[43] Python 2.7's end-of-life date was initially set at 2015 then postponed to 2020 out of concern that a large body of existing code could not easily be forward-ported to Python 3.[44][45]" Regards SeanMac

Tesira, as no-one has commented yet on the more important aspect of this thread, which is the fact that you are learning Python. I would just like to say that I wish you success with your endeavors. I wouldn't worry about Python versions.

hallo SeanMac, hello animagic, true said, I fully havent worried about the Python Version. I work with VisualStudio 2019 and this has installed Python 3.6. This has done, what it should and so I only now have looked at the version. Slowly I also have some questions. 1. Which items of the QT designer are supported until now in iClone? 2. Can I set the Physics of an item or the Project? Have a good day Tesira
