And Here we go again! But first a tribute to Iclone 4 and some images and animations created with it.

By gregsin - 15 Years Ago
Looks great! Can't wait to get my copy Monday, got lots of 'round the house work to do today anyway. I'll have to get enough done so I can play with all the new stuff tomorrow. Nice tribute to IC4 too!

Your Iclone 4 tribute actually brought a tear to my eye.

At least one of us is still using iC4;)

I remeber the iC4 images, well. My favo(u)rites were Jimmy Toon grabbing the glass & the rabbit jumpong out of the box:)

One of these days, Reallusion will fix the Forum, so that we can Post Quoted Replys & Copy & Paste, using BB Code:angry:

thank you guys, here is a background im working on for an animation short i want to do.

Your work is a source of inspiration to newbies like me. Iclone 4,and 5 for that matter, is made to look like a very creative artistic tool by talents like you and other here at Reallusion.

This is one of my humble newbie contributions to Iclone 4,which is still my main application, while I start the new learning curve of Iclone 5:

As always your work looks terrific Stuckon3d, you are by far the expert here.

PS: could the three people that gave me such poor ratings on this thread show your name and artwork please, i would love to see the caliber of your work if you feel that what you see in my gallery is so poor. :w00t:

Goes to show that iClone isn't just a Movie Machine it's also a Still Machine. In expert hands of course.

The beauty of it is, that once you've got your head around the basics, Cris shows you how to do it just like him, in his extended 90 minute plus, Tuts.

By stuckon3d - 15 Years Ago
thanks guys, here is another background, soon i will add some characters from the new pack.

Once again Stuckon3d, proving why you are the best here. Amazing shots.

A bit out of focus in full screen, Cris.

Is that intentional, to give the impression of speed?

The windsceen's pretty impressive, though, with background showing through side window.

Yeah, i used the lens blur filter to try to give it a sense of speed, however, i feel that the filter needs a radius parameter to control the area of influence that stays in focus, right now, the more streak blur you add, the smaller the area that stays in focus. And you cant control that, unless you go to photoshop or something like that. Right now im working on an animation of that still that combines iclone, pfhoe, and hitfilm, Stay tune. ;)

Cris I learned a lot from that clip, had to pause through it frame by frame to see the cuts and animation but it was great.

So wish you would make a full animated short with iClone.  I'm sure Reallusion would pay you as the sales would fly in :D

Wonderful job, Stuckton.

You are the only one (except me) wich really puts attempion to a good final image quality.

But why goodbye iClone? Do You want to change program?

I hope no. There is much more to extract by our program. Much, much more. I am working in this direction, and soon will show You something upsetting.

Guido

By stuckon3d - 14 Years Ago
thanks guys , remember this is just the first draft, i still need to do more light balacing and also when you play the anim back, for some reason that i dont know, it is skipping frames between cut one and two. I had a real nice stabbing and pulling the blade out motion that is not being shown on the playblack. When i do the second version this will happen in slow mo and bullet time so it will be super clear. ;)

@guido
the good bye animation at the beginning of this thread was to "Iclone 4" , not iclone. ;)

Sorry, but that seems a wild claim and sort of discredits everyone else who puts time and effort in their work.

Can't wait to see the final video. You are the master and the rest of us strive to be half as good as you. The stabbing motion in slow-mo sounds pretty cool. Now the fun part begins. I love doing the special effects parts.

Call it what you want. He is more talented than anyone here and deserves to hear it. That is a fact. There is nothing wrong with complimenting someone when they have earned it. Being jealous about it is just pathetic.

It didn't sound like jealousy to me.

He was just stating that, StuckOn3D is good at what he does and doesn't need to be treated like a deity for it. He puts time into his work and if others do the same they can definitely get quality like his. :)

Hi guys,
thank you all for your feedback and compliments, but please lets keep this thread clean and about the work i do, not the comments/compliments i get.. I want this thread to be a source of inspiration. Something for people to know what could happen if you practice and study hard about the subject of 3d(modeling, texturing, lighting, rigging, animation, effects. and compositing). I'm constantly in a learning phase. It comes with the territory for 3d, there is always something new to learn, That is why i picked this career. To keep my mind sharp and my passion for Art going.

Cheers,

I don't know Chris. The double freeze frame camera movement seems a bit awkward to me. Perhaps after the effects are put in it will all pull together. Maybe instead of two freeze frames do slow motion during those frames while spinning the camera around and widening the shot. We'll see how it looks after the effects are added.

Go for it Colin, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain, both in practice and experience. Also try to do something new as far as technique. Don't just do something you already know how to do. This is the only way to advance on your path to become a more skillful 3d artist. Take a risk.

Interior of Joe's cantina WIP. Still need to do the set dressing but it gives you a good idea of lighting direction and layout.

By stuckon3d - 13 Years Ago
Camera angles for interior cantina shots. Long, medium, over the shoulder, and close ups. You will notice that even though i did not change the lighting at all, it does change from angle to angle. This is very common and once the cameras are final i will go in and re adjust the lighting and textures for continuity.

Just saw "Wreck it Ralph" with my 8 year old grand-daughter this last weekend. We both thourghly enjoyed it. I know we'll watch it more than once. :D

Spittoon joke... (Did you know there was one?) :w00t:

Bartender ask customer #1: "How do you like the place now that I've added a third door?"

#1: "What third door? You have a front door and a back door...2 doors."

Bartender: "I'll bet you $100 I have 3 doors."

#1 "It's a bet."

Bartender: I have a front door, a rear door and, sitting on the floor at your feet, I have a cuspidor. 3 doors." ;)

#1 "Well I'll be, you do have three doors. Here's your $100 but I'm gonna get it back with the next guy that walks in."

Customer #2 walks in.

#1 "You like the place now that it has three doors?"

#2 It only has a front door and rear door...2 doors."

#1 "I'll bet you $100 there are three doors."

#2 "It's a bet."

#1 "There's the front door...that's one. There's the rear door...that's two. And at your feet there's a....um....a....  That damn 'spittoon' has cost me $200 dollars already today."

(An old one obviously because who even knows what a cuspidor is these days except us old geezers.)

StuckOn3D,

Wreck-it-Ralph was absolutely amusing and the story quite beautiful.
It brought me back to the time when, together with a school mate, we were spending hours (and money...) in the video-game room that was just outside the school, whereas our mothers had to phone each others to ask "Oh, your son is not arrived at home from the school as well ? Ok so they both went playing at video-games... :doze:"

Congratulations for working at such a beautiful cartoon.

howdy folks, it has been a long while since i posted something to see. So here is a little short i did with the aid of my son. (3.5 years old). He did the voice of the teddy bear. I know, I know, you probable saying: " but wait cris, what happen to the western short? and the dancing video and ...." Well... i keep starting new projects and i never get to finish it. Work always tends to get in the way as well as lack of time, specially when I'm working on a feature film, (By the way keep your eyes open for disney's new movie "Frozen", it is going to become a classic ;). So anyhow...then something else comes up when i do have spare time and I change gears. However, im determined to finish this one. Not only in iclone but I 'm going to render it in Maya. Full on pro style. And if time permits a tutorial. ;)

Here is the video:
