Just had an email from Evolver as I have purchased directly also as well as through Reallusion.

Apparently they had been taken over by Autodesk so not sure what will happen with the relationship between Evolver and Reallusion now.

I got the same email and was about to ask. Maybe RL would care to comment?

Well for now its business as usual but for sure this change in ownership may change things in the future. I will try to find out what the future plans are and update again once more is known.

Unfortunately, when a company buys another ,the new owners impose their own rules over the old company. Hopefully, some of the Evolver avatars we've bought will not be blocked from being posted on our stores. But a sales person at Autodesk emailed me not to sell their Evolver models, but they can be included in a personal only, not commercial youtube video!

Peter,
should we scrap our Evolver avatars? or there could be a way of converting them to native Iclone 4 format and to work with?

Peter,

All models created with Avatar Builder are in native iClone4 format and can continue to be used roayalty free in your movies and images within iClone. The takeover by Autodesk will not impact on any avatars you have already created but obviously you won't be able to create any new ones sadly.

Please note that the above applies to avatars created with iClone Avatar Builder and not those created on the Evolver website itself. Those models will be subject to the terms and conditions on the Evolver website.
