A walk cycle generator.

Its nice to be able to create really accurate, repeating walks that can then be modified here and there in the motion layer for realism.

I would like to see a walk designer that would allow for stride, arms, hip-sway, etc. that could be controlled by parameter sliders. It should then save the walk loop, walk start, and walk end so they are ready to apply to an avatar.

That would be a cool feature. +1

iClone 5 will have inverse kinematics (i.e.: natural joint constrains combined with follow-my-leader bone rigging), so I would guess a Universal Walk Designer is not impossible. DAZ Studio has the Animate Plus add-on which does something very similar.

We Already have that!... 3DS Max! You Can Make It Do EXACTLY What You Want!
You Can Even Bring In Dynamic Animation, i.e. (Ragdoll, Endorphin), etc. Once inside iClone, there's No Way To controll It, without bouncing back and forth, ic to max. But It's There!

Uh... sw000p? I think you're getting your software mixed up. MAX already has that... iClone does not. Not everyone has Max... not everyone wants to pull things into Max and then go back into iClone.

I know you want the best for iClone and so do we... but it almost sounds like ur trollin' for Max... AALLMOST.

Hmm... I GUESS you can see it that way... But in that same way... that is what the 3rd party wishlist is for. (It's the forrum right above all these posts... the one that no one but myself posted in)

I actually wish iClone had a world generator, one with fully paintible terrain and sky system. This would be really wonderful. If iClone had plugin support, I bet someone would have made one by now.

I suppose I just think it's slightly unfair because I could make a walk cycle, but I'd have to make my character (in whatever?) and import it to 3DS Max, then skin it... and THEN I could use the CAT thing.

However, like a previous poster said, since the characters have REAL IK now, this should be doable in IC5. Your point is good though. Well played.

If Poser can have a walk cycle generator (and has had one for a long time), there is no reason why iClone couldn't have one. So I support the feature.

Just for the record, I tried using CATMotion... um... it works... sorta. But not really the funnest thing to use in my opinion. A walk generator would be good.
