Kicking around an idea for a marching band logo. I have never used the Gorf cartoon character in Iclone before and this was an opportunity to become more familiar with another aspect of the Iclone 5 software system and to produce a possible logo for up and coming videos but of course will be mush shorter if it is used before or after a video.
I'm just having fun - Hope you do to.

erisku (2/25/2015) Hi guys
Here is my latest web series cartoon. Would like you comments. Let me embed this one for you: I don't know Albanian, so I couldn't really follow the story. From what I understand it's a children's program. It has a nice cartoony look. The animation could be improved here and there. Walking in iClone has always tricky. The ball-play between the children would be a good opportunity to use physics. What I was really happy about is that you get a large number of views, which shows that iClone-made movies can have mass appeal.

Hey gang, I've been playing around with mixing HDR and Toon style characters lately, and loving it, (using them as little gift animations for friends)... although I obviously still have a lot to learn about HDR settings, Toon Reflections and controlling the lens flares a little better. So any suggestions or links to any relevant tutes would be greatly appreciated. Huge thanks to Bigboss for helping me turn his toon trousers into shorts for the G5 Cloth guy when the mesh and opacity were determined to drive me bat-crazy... (Normally, I'm a whizz at clonecloths, but the hidden segments had been removed to help keep the polygon count low, and I tried rebuilding them in my old pal Cinema 4D, where there's nearly nothing it can't do, and I still managed to flop about helplessly).... So I'm quixotically grateful, coz I use the toon dude in cargo shorts all the time now... :) Kudos also to Warlord for his really fun animated Jumpgate which was a great bargain and taught me a **lot** about animating the colours and textures for plasma, just by playing around with it for a few minutes. So I've also got the Stargate portal by Wolfzone on my wishlist now, getting braver, and can't wait to see what amazing fun dimensions it can take me... watch this space, haha https://vimeo.com/119028436 HEY WOW!!! And this post also marks my graduation from Newbie to Junior Member!! YAYYYY!!!!!!!!! You saw it here first, haha! :w00t: :D

I'm a noob so don't be too harsh on me. Only have had Iclone 6 for 2 days and currently just learning the software and finding my way around. Really like the software and the whole idea of using templates as a base for doing animation. I can already see that Iclone 6 has a lot of potential and is quite powerful, yet is very intuitive. I have already learnt a lot by just clicking on things and experimenting. I really like the camera tool and can't wait to learn and master it as it relates very closely to real videography which I have some experience in as I have a a video camera and a Youtube channel called Julian Groves. I have noticed it is a little bit buggy or flaky when it comes to dealing with music tracks or sound for character voicing. Have had a few Iclone 6 application crashes when I've been doing sound related stuff. Not too bad though. Hopefully they will release a patch to take care of this shortly. Maybe I just need to install some more memory. Currently have 8 gigs but think I will upgrade to 16 gigs to see if that makes any difference.
Updated 31/05/2015 - Set my preferred graphics processor to High-performance NIVIDIA processor for Iclone 6 in the Nividia control panel on my computer and now crashing has disappeared and all running sweet. Also Reallusion has just released a patch which I have now installed. So very happy with the software.
Anyway here's my first attempts at doing some animation using Iclone 6.

Well you're off to a good start,. keep playing and experimenting that's a great way to learn and hopefully have fun at the same time. You might try adding a "Persona" to the "Toon" avatar. Then you can Right-Click on the avatar select "Move" and have the avatar walk to where you Click the mouse. Then add you Talking animation...just a thought!:D

You might try adding a "Persona" to the "Toon" avatar. Just tried adding a Persona as you suggested. Works great and so easy to get the character moving around. Thanks for the tip Mark.

Here's my latest Iclone 6 creation. I think I'm getting better. I'm starting to use mainly key framing in the animation as it's easier to get interaction and contact happening between the characters. Have given up on the speech bubble concept which I used in some previous animations as is time consuming and starts getting complicated and cumbersome the more speech bubbles you have to use. Much easier and quicker and better to use sound files and visme.

Virtual Jack Black is a stylized character designed in DS and ZBrush, animated and rendered in IClone. talks about his mad guitar, wrestling and Kung Fu skills in this animated short. (Stylized Character Comedy Parody)
First pass, just wanted to post this before CC gets released (Monday I hope) and Jack ends up getting lost and forgotten on a hard drive. Will polish this one up when I get the time.
Animation Note: The quirky halftard Kung Fu animation, is exploiting IC's choppy animation. If they won't add a curve editor have fun with it right? :P

friederike, I enjoyed this clip.:):):) But how is it possible to use so many characters on the ice?

I did the following: If you have noticed, I used not so many characters at the same time. For working I always disactivated the not used ones and only for rendering the video I activated all. I used the "not show" function in the scene tab. It is not necessary to use the not show line. The function in the scene tab works fine if you have so many characters in a Video. Of course at the end, it was not possible to work with all characters activated..... I don''t know if this is my PC, but activating them all, only the render function worked.... IClone became too slow..... I am so happy with the KeyFrameAnimation possibility, because with this function I can make really skating jumps.......

GRAPHIC NOVEL STYLE - "Dangerous Steampunk" combining toonshaded steam sfx, fog particles, ambient occlusion with a touch of charcoal filtering and a little depth of field on the camera.
Still need to adjust the texture on one sil of the skyship, which is catching too much light, but worth the effort, I think..?

Cool thanks Pete!... But I just realised I'm probably a bit of a dope because apparently I'm aiming videos at kids who are too young to have youtube accounts (unless their parents train and trust them properly. Or don't care if they get up to mischief... so here's two more for my favourite mischief makers, LOL:
This one is how Mechanics feel when they get too much help in the workshop:
And this is how Teachers feel when they're too good for their own good, haha:
I'm still playing with the series title however, so I'd love to know what everyone thinks... which do you prefer..?: a) Alien's Guide to Human Careers b) Alien's Guide to Cool Careers, or c) Alien's Guide to Deadly Careers...? Coz - spoiler alert - they all end in death, LOL

Hello Everyone,
I am glad I managed to finish my first iClone-made short. Originally planned just as a quick exercise to get my feet wet with iClone and video editing software, it took a bit longer :Whistling: than expected (6 years, to be precise ). The story is very loosely based on Aesop's fable "The Crow and the Fox"... The two main characters are toons, so I thought this thread would be an appropiate place to post it.
Anyway, I hope someone likes it, and that future projects progress a bit faster ;) (with the advances that iClone has made from version 4 [where I started] to now 7, that should be possible). Cheers, Soeren

It's science week in Oz and UK this week, so I'm launching a new STEM Toon every day to celebrate; The skeleton is by 3DUniverse, while the rest of the crew are toon characters I made in Daz using both Toon Generations and Genesis 3 clothing that was all brought into iClone5 using 3DX ... so I'm really looking forward to the new CC3 for iC7 so I can get proper soft cloth as well!!! I'm going to have SO MUCH FUN!!! LOL

Thanks for the responses to "Crow and Fox":)! Yes, "cute" is what I hoped this clip would be. The atmosphere in the opening scene would not have been possible without a little HDR, glad that iClone supports this. And thanks to Postfrosch for reminding me there is a German part of the forum, I have to admit I thought that the language selector at the top right only changes the user interface language :Whistling:. Went there and was surprised by the amount of good content (and spent already way too much time reading) :w00t:
