Just login to your Account and choose Bonus & Upgrade for CrazyTalk Animator. You will find the update there. This will bring your copy of CTA to version 1.2.

Is there any new version for popVideo in development? I would like to get it but because the product is almost 1 year old I wonder whether I should wait a bit...

I cant import ANY video file formats into popvideo (avi, mov or mpeg). all I get is - "video codec is missing"... I bought $770 worth of these programs and the two that are MOST important to me do not work properly!!!! Popvideo converter and widgetcast pro. Widgetcast wont open files that I have worked on for 2 weeks and now the first time that I try to use popvideo it wont open files. please advise ASAP... I am EXTREMELY frustrated with your products... and I need these issues resolved because I need your solution for projects that I am working on...

Under normal circumstances you should find popVideo Converter will open most videos that are playable with Windows Media Player. However sometimes you can receive codec errors where you have uncommon or old codecs installed, including those from codec packs. Have you tried installing the popular codecs such as DivX and Xvid for AVI. These will normally work well. Also as a test please try WMV format as this normally works well also. For the WidgetCast issues you haven't stated which files you are unable to open so it is difficult to say for sure. For this I would advise contacting Technical Support using the link below. They will be able to advise you further on the issues you are having. http://www.reallusion.com/CustomerSupport/User/QForm.aspx

I got the same problem with video files (e.g. mpeg DVD or m2ts) generated by Sony Vegas 11 HD Platinum. I would not say that this is because the codec used is old, being Sony Vegas 11 a 2011 product (last patch was issued less than one month ago). For all of those (me included) who bought popVideo converter, it would be nice to see a new release that supports a wider range of video format

Thanks!!
Adding some more input/output codecs would surely be a great added value to this software, especially when we think that today many videos (which will be input for popVideo) are taken in AVCHD format... I really hope an enhancement will be done soon!

Hi:
I second the request for more video formats. Maybe a small update (v2.03?) could make the product more useful.

I bought popVideo 3 converter this morning and came accross the same problem that was first highlighted here 6 years ago. I cannot believe this problem has not been resolved by now. When attempting to drop a popvideo into my Crazytalk scene, I get the message "the file cannot be imported because the codec is not recogniosed on your system". This happened on two of my PCs - the one runs Windows 10 and the other is still on Windows 8. I also downloaded the codec packages recommended here as well as anything to do with the codec reflected in the popVideo 3 : WMV3.
Having spent the day on this problem - and not getting the result shown in the YouTube video where the pop video is transferred by means of a mere drag and drop, I am totally disappointed in the popVideo 3 program. I have many Reallusion programs but this one unfortunately is of now value to me with the limitations encountered. I will be looking for another video editing software that can produce chroma key video with transaparent backrounds that can be used in CrazyTalk Animator - which is still a good program.

Unfortunately there is no one standard format for MP4. Generally installing the K-lite pack will allow you to use MP4 videos with popVideo but if the videos you have use a specific codec that even K-lite doesn't support, then sadly you may not be able to get them to run.
Try using a codec identifier like GSpot to check your videos. This should tell you which video and audio codecs are being used and identify any problems.

MISSING CODECS. I get a chance to express my concerns again. Since Iclone 6 I have not been able to use mp4 files. It happened in Iclone 5 and Iclone fixed it. Now they ignored it and maybe with this new interest they will address all the video formats once they are less busy. Thank you.
