most of the time using human charactors more than using the cartoon ones. everything is just slow going. when you click play it skips through the animation. could it be the graphics card. here are my specs. bums me out.

intel core2 dou e7200 @2.53ghz
4 gig of ram
64bit vista
nvidia geforce7100 / nvdia nforce 630i

i dont play games on computer so dont know too much aqbout graphics cards. but i have no problem doing anything on my system.

any help would be appericated

I too have run into some major performance issues, especially if there are multiple characters on screen, and even more especially if I'm trying to use the puppeterring.  Last night I was doing blinks, and in the playback of the resulting video, the blinks are waaay slow...

I was doing about a 4 minute animation, two characters (both bitmaped based) and eventually it must've just overloaded my system because it just locked up.  My system is WinXP 2 GIG ram, and a Nvidia GeoForce 8800

someone else posted about having issues related to the software and dual monitors, they had a solution, I'd look for that post, or hopefully they will respond... ...this sounds related.

Hi Todd

Sorry to bring you bad news but I think your problem is the graphics card. The recommended  for CTA is a series 7 Geforce or higher which you meet, but sadly the 7100 is the lowest powered of that series and is very weak for graphics software like CTA.

If your system is a Desktop rather than a Notebook computer then you should be able to upgrade the graphics card to something much better for just a little outlay. The thing to keep in mind is that the second figure in a graphics card number is the important one. Where yours is a 1 look for something like a 7600, 7800, 7950, 8600, 8800, 9600, 9800 etc

hey, just to let the crazy talk animator fans out there. i had problems with everything running slow. (please read above)

i went out and bought a:

GeForce 9500GT DDR2 512m/mo

74.99 on sale for 39.99 and it comes with a 35 dollar mail in rebate. what a deal.

i got it at Micro Center here in michigan. they usally have everything you need.

i installed it, messed with animator and fast as fast can be! no sluggish moments or anything. havent exported and got into it too much but just wanted to report the info to everyone.

Hi have problems too. If I use Face Puppeteering Panel or just click play starts slow freezes.

Its is impossible make a real time animation.

I think, CRazy Talk Animator Pro dont use processor mult core. I dont have high memory usage.

My hardware

Phenom x4 3.0Mhz

6Gb Memory

Vídeo: ATI HD5770 1GB

Hard Disc - Western Digital - Caviar Black

MB: ECS A 790GM-A Ultra - Black Series.

Win 7 64 "Tryed run with adm mode and xp compatibility"

All drivers updated, have no vírus and no system O.S. problems.
I use DAZ and Autodesk Products and have no problems, u know how to solve freezes?
