Great looking pack. Never seen Chuck looking so smart. :) PS: Have you guys found a way to get more than 24 hours in a day (or perhaps learned to live without sleeping). If so please share your secret with the rest of us mere mortals. ;)

It really is very sad to see what is basically a private disagreement between two highly respected and talented developers spill over into the public forum like this. I really would urge all further communication on this matter to be conducted by PM or email. It doesn't benefit anyone for potential customers to see private matters being conducted so publically.

Apparition (8/20/2012) We appreciate the diligence to cleanup the mess!
There was NO Copyright infringement whatsoever. Simple artistic depiction of logos for illustration has no implications at all. -Hmmm so why did you want it removed. :Whistling: I would appreciate you also remove the link to a private video, where the attack continues. Not sure why you want the video removed. The video is just the same as what Cricky said in his reply only with an added Cowboy. Plus there's no break of forum rules that I can see.
(Your PM box is full) Not any more but thanks for the reminder. Get in quick though because it probably will be full again before tomorrow. I'm such a popular guy. :P

Please can I also make a polite request. As this is the Fashion Alley Showcase thread please let's keep this to good friendly discussion of the work being showcased. As I have requested before, if developers have any issues with each other, please try to discuss matters by Private Message. It doesn't benefit anyone to conduct these discussions publicly. Thanks. :)

colour (8/19/2012) Since "The Content Developer Wars";) aren't going to go away, I suggest that Reallusion create a Content Developers Private Forum, where they can discuss their Content Developments, to avoid duplication of their efforts.I don't think we need a special forum for developers to butt heads. That's what PM's are for. :P

Some people believe that that "person" is actually you. Gosh, now I am really worried.....I've been having a conversation with myself on Skype :D:D:D Scary! Wish I could make animations like that person though!I gave you the above information as a professional courtesy to a fellow developer to help you make a decision I'm a grown women capable of making my own decisions, whatever made you think I would need help? could publically post all the things you said about several people to me in emails Must have been my alter-ego from those Skype conversations :D I could also post about how your "friend" uses multiple identities and then writes under the premise that he is someone else. Is this an imaginery friend or my alter ego again? :unsure:You did start this by deliberately putting out the pack as a freebie I'm entitled to put freebies up if I wish.....even although you wrote and told me not to put up so many freebies. it was certainly not done on purpose as you insinuate 'I recall saying whether by accident or design'....not really an insinuation, more a statementNo doubt you will respond again but I'm done. It's not worth it. Good! cos, you could rant for CanadaHi Mike,:) No worries, I'm done too now, I think :) Shy

Well someone has been a busy little beaver overnight and dug up and dusted off their old G2 pack with the same name of "Indian Delight"...oh, I suppose the timing was just a coincidence.. Whatever.... No coincidence, I purposely put it in the Freebie section. I didn't work overnight on it either, it was already on the store. I just figured that since yet another pack name was the same as one of mine, that I would give mine a little more coverage. Shy

I keep trying to diffuse the situation and you keep trying to fuel it. I didn't say anything to 'fuel the situation', in fact I didn't say anything at all. It was your sarcastic post yesterday prompted my first response. (top of this page) I think you feel you can say whatever you like to people on the forum and they shouldn't respond. We all have the right to have our say, just as we have the right to post freebies. Your post makes it sound like I sent you creepy emails behind the scenes I certainly didnt say or even imply that you sent creepy emails but the email you sent me regarding Big Boss after the split in your partnership was out of order. I also know I was not the only person you sent it to. You should leave people to make their own decisions without influence. Anyone joining Big Boss had nothing to do with you. Frankly, I could write you a list a mile long of all the things that have come back to me that you started .......and despite what you said to me in an email.....you still havent quite worked this out yet.....if you only knew. However, when I get a minute later today, I will reply to the email you sent me yesterday. Shy

Alley, in all of this, you seem to forget you made the first post (top of this page) Like I already said, do you think people are going to take what you dish out and not reply? This has nothing to do with Big Boss, it's more to do with the fact of why would you even email me to give me the facts in the first place. I wasn't interested. You must have written to more than two people, cos it wasn't the 'good friend' I think you are speaking about, I too have a high regard for that person. Big Boss and I have hardly raised your name. With regards me being unprofessional.....have you read what you have written? As I said I would, I have replied to your email, you will realise when you see it why it took so long. Alley your halo must choke you at times.....you start things and don't like when people respond. Yours was the first post, remember and sarcasm isn't very professional either. Neither is posting excerpts from private emails. Shy

been there done that - Poser and Daz are not new to us iclone users, but think about it - there must be a reason why many of us opted for iClone instead of the other 2 - sure i love looking at STILL pictures made with Poser/Daz, but what we enjoy here is making movies and once you have a scene with a few characters and sets, then you'd realize why we opted for iClone.
Mike and Alley have done the community a great service by making available various characters to enable us to tell stories in different genres.
CHAKRABORTY (1/18/2013) Lol; these characters look just like old pc games from the 90’s! Is there any chance they could stay side by side with Daz characters in Iclone? Coarse cloth and painted accessories vs. pure Daz delight … You must think of an evolution if you want to keep up with new Iclone tendencies (I hope you’re not upset Aparition, this is rather constructive criticism which I think is better than phony praise)

Apparition (8/19/2012) Thanks Rampart!
We appreciate all your concern and support!
We have no trouble whatsoever with the NBA because we are NOT SELLING an item with their affiliates logos. The images displayed in Cricky's post are NOT OFFICIAL IMAGES FROM APPARITION. They are only samples of what a user can do IF HE WANTS TO CUSTOMIZE a jacket for a sports scene! These images are not being posted by either Apparition or Alley. They are at another user's post.
Regarding image size, the forum server automatically downsizes any image larger than allowed. The problem is with videos. It seems videos are not limited in size and such thing is exploited unfairly by some posts, where HUGE, gigantic videos are posted, no matter their bandwidth is too large and playback is very bad.
"Sub Quote"
These images are not being posted by either Apparition or Alley. They are at another user's post.
I understand you may want to cover yourself in the event you get a response back from a large organization who may want to pursue prosecution, but don't try and flip it around and make it look like I am the one who posted the original images. The jackets, complete with logos is what you originally offered as content without disclaimer.
The images I originally posted were quoted from this thread (later removed by the Forum Moderator) and also printed to a PDF document should anyone care to see it as originally posted.
I was attempting to give fair warning to all ,that corporate pursuit of "Trademark Infringement" is a possibility regardless of how you try and play it off, nothing more.
Others, such as Colour, have taken the opportunity to sling mud, unrelated at other vendors. So the Idiom response especially applies to those who do this.
I do not appreciate the fact that you appear to want to try and turn this towards me as the villain and remain squeaky clean, when I have nothing to gain from the pursuit, as I am not in anyway in competition with your products.
The following applies"
"People in Glass Houses, should not throw stones" This is an Idiom that means "( don't criticize other people when you yourself have faults and weaknesses ... )"
Something that everyone here should remember.
My Youtube Video Response that corresponds to this text. I expect hearing me say this, will give you a better idea of how I feel about the response to an offered hand -vs- typed text.[Link Removed By Moderator]

Sports Jackets have been reduced to 1295 points. Jackets available HERE. Images Removed By Moderator
Just one those things, that makes you go "hmmmmmmmmmmm"
You may want to check if your display of NBA logos isn't considered Trademark infringement.
Generally Fair Use of an Official Team Logo, would be display only.
I saw the jackets and although you did a nice job of it, I can almost bet to sell "anything" with their logo would take a specific agreement contract with the Sports line involved, such as The National Football League (NFL), The National Basketball Association (NBA), The National Hockey League (NHL), etc...
I am not saying that you do not have a license, but if you can afford the standard $100,000 they usually require just as a down payment to produce and use their logo(s), Reallusion must be making more profits than the average company for their vendors; :w00t: WOW !!!
One such bit of information concerning NFL Trademark Licensing Requirements I found
(Excerpts)
3. Draw up a business plan indicating that you can meet the minimum royalty payments once you receive your license and can sustain a certain level of sales. The NFL licensing agreement demands a 100% royalty guarantee (usually $100,000 per year); this means that you must be able to assure NFL Properties that you can pay that amount every year you hold the license.
4. Take out a sterling insurance policy. NFL Properties requires a Comprehensive Commercial General Liability policy from a top-rated (A-VIII or higher) A.M. Best-rated insurance company. The policy must be for at least $3 million per incident, and at least $6 million in aggregate.
5. Gather the information required by the NFL Properties application process. It includes two years of company tax reports, an annual report, a credit reference from a certified bank or similarly reputable financial institution and a product catalog or sell sheet from your company.
(End of Excerpts) There are more, but these seemed to be relative.

By Alley - 14 Years Ago

I have to admit that I have never really been a fan of Country and Western anything, but a request was made back in December for some characters for a community member who has recently switched to Iclone from another program. I had some direction as to the characters needed for this specific story, so here is a look at my progress. Note I am using Squirrelygirl's Western sets for these promos and I might add they they are really great sets!! :)

I originally started the male characters in full jackets, but realized that with a holster, this could be a problem - so I created three options of jacket for each. I also added a flowing element around the jacket in the same material, to give some movement and interest in the scenes. The element is 100 points and it's just an accessory that can be removed if not suitable.
Here is a short demo video - will try to do someting better when I have more time. I still have another 5 or 6 characters to create. And yes....my particle work on the gunshots in the video needs improvement. I was having trouble but will work on it. :)

Day 12 is now posted. Please note this will be for Christmas Day only. The skater is a default character, with a flowing skirt accessory which requires either Flowing Skirt Elements, Volume 1, or you can purchase 1 flowing element which is linked on the Marketplace page for 100 points. The skater is supplied with 6 motions that were generously supplied by Duchess for one day only. I've made a quick demo video that isn't perfect, but hey - it's Christmas. :P Merry Christmas Everyone. We hope you enjoyed the 12 Days.

I am about to email you the textures but you will have to resize him yourself. Start by loading Mr. Post Slim, adding the supplied Head and add the Casual Default Upper Clone Cloth. Then Load all the skin diffuse supplied (hand, upper, lower, shoes) plus the opacity and diffuse for the casual upper. Add the bowtie accessory. Below, you will see the character in perspective to my final and Dylan default. Just play with all your sizing dials til you get him looking the way you want. To be honest, if you purchased slim both template and base - there is no reason why you should be still getting watermark. Reallusion should help you with that, it may be the order of things being loaded - i.e. you might have to completely delete the downloaded nightmare character from your system before downloading and installing again, now that you have purchased the two base characters. I think there is something to the order and simply re-downloading him on top of a previous download might not fix the order of things as perceived by Iclone. In any case, email on it's way shortly.

I just thought of something else worth a try. Load your Mr. Pose. Now save the upper and the lower of him. Even save the head and the shoes. Now load nightmare downloaded character. Try replacing the head, upper, lower and shoes with the ones you saved. That way it might remove the watermark and will retain the re-sizing. Then you could add the textures. Maybe worth a try.

You are quite welcome Geoff!! :) Day 2 - Mrs. Claus - will require C285A Violet Gown or G3 Clone Cloth for Essential Female, Volume 1. Sorry, for this one there was no way to do it with all default. As this is new, will leave Day 1 til about noon tomorrow my time, EST.

By Alley - 15 Years Ago

|
Would it be possible for any of you that downloaded Mrs. Santa to confirm that it did not cause a watermark in Iclone? If you own G3 Clone Cloth for Essential Female, Volume 1 - you should have no issues. If you purchased Gown "Upper" or "Lower" from Backstage in the past, it will not be compatible. The single element that needs to be purchased in order for Mrs Santa to not cause watermark is C285 Gown A "Actor". This was not the case prior to the last Iclone Update. It causes issues constantly for those that previously purchased uppers or lowers in backstage. Any character built in Iclone now, carries with it the full character DRM, not just half a body. So, even if I mix an upper or lower only with default, it will require the full character to not cause watermark. One thing that should help everyone when purchasing, is if you click on the pre-requisites generated by the uploader, it will tell you clearly what will be required. http://city.reallusion.com/ContentPreview.aspx?i=IC320D285ENU0106C007&g= Attached is the page that Mrs. Santa directs you to. Now, I am not sure why it does not lead to the option of Backstage - I'll try rebuilding the character to see if this has any effect. In the meantime, please let me know if you are getting watermarks or not and what base content, either the whole Clone Cloth for Essential Woman or just the gown element that you own. Thanks.

Thank you for the info Geoff - I think the problem arises with people who purchased uppers or lowers through Backstage. They are not compatible as Iclone now outputs whole characters only so the requirement is to purchase the whole character under the Backstage "Actor" tab that matches up to what the uploader says is required. Even if only half of the character is used. This will apply to Day 4 - which requires C247A Trey Overcoat 01 & Bootcut A "Actor". Overcoat 01 Upper from backstage will not work. Of course, if you own the G3 Clone Cloth for Essential Male, Volume 1 - there will be no issues. Day 4 - available now.

The Product Page in Marketplace is showing "Mr. Pose and Friends Character Pack" as being the base required. This is automatically generated by the uploader. However, this would be based on when the character was uploaded, which may have been before they were available on Backstage - I am really not sure. If I had to guess, I probably made the character on the template map which would mean you would require both the template map and the base character (I think). In future, I would likely export the textures from the template map base, and reload them on the base character. This would lower the base requirement to just the character. I know this is confusing....but I think if you purchased the base character also, it would get rid of the watermark but if you want to know 100% for sure, you prob should ask Reallusion. In other words, I think the template map is actually an add-on for the base character. But....this has been a source of confusion - so perhaps RL could clarify. If you want to email me at alley@iclonealley.com, I could send you the parts to rebuild him yourself on the template map, i.e. head, skin texture jpgs, etc. but it takes some time to put together and it's a busy day so not sure I could get it done today - :) - but I'll try to do it for you if you like.

This was a learning experience for me. I actually received a request for this character. Here is a pic. Honestly, I really did not think I would be able to do it just using Iclone, as I don't use Z-brush or any other sculpting programs. The head was my biggest concern and took the longest and had quite a bit of work in photoshop. I also wasn't sure how I could recreate the hair, but I painted the scalp (which is tricky when painting on flat surface to know exactly where the black will hit. (photoshop CS4 and up does allow you to bring the head in 3D into photoshop. Also the head shape was not completely right and using the "detail" and other morphing tools was not going to give me the right look so I made an accessory from the blocks to make the head rounder and add the bun piece. The gown I created works and I avoided the flowing stuff, but with more time I could have improved it more but sometimes I have to decide whether my time is best spent fine-tuning something to the highest degree weighed against how likely are people to purchase it no matter how fine-tuned it is. Always appreciate your comments.:)

And here are some new additions by Orientlove..... Two new hairstyles

The hairstyles also come with cool new outfits by Orientlove as a package deal.. these are avatars by the way, based on default.
Additionally, there have been many new items posted for Kyle and Robyn, too many to post but here are the latest items. These are available separate or as a pack at considerable savings.
Faces below are iMaterial files for Robyn. At the moment, you cannot alter Robyn's head and sell the "head" as it contains DRM. The Oriental head just would need a little tweaking with the dials to make it more authentic but these faces are more fun/cartoonish rather than being detailed.

Thank you for the nice comments. My family does get annoyed with me at times - lol. I work from home and have slow periods - which is the case right now - so I have more free time. This is a hobby that I love - so as long as I do projects that interest me, and don't feel like I have a "work" agenda - then I am passionate about what I create.

Thanks, I really enjoyed making these characters. As a point of interest, you will notice they are all characters and not material files. After some back and forth with RL on this, they approved us submitting whole characters to the marketplace. If you own the base cloth which is clearly stated in the description, then you should have no problem with watermarks. If you don't, the only way to remove the watermark is to purchase the base that the character is based on. I actually asked the question 3 times so that I could be absolutely sure this was acceptable. As far as the content store is concerned, I'm not sure if the rules are the same. We have always had to submit material files here. Preparing the material files is a really big job - every exported material file has to have a correct thumbnail applied to it and of course the promo pictures required for the content store have entirely different dimensions :w00t: - so it's a fair bit of work. Sorry for all the background, just wanted folks to know that clone cloth preparation for content store is quite a bit more complicated than other items. So - to answer your question - I will submit it to the content store in the next week, as soon as I can get everything ready. I don't think you can submit whole characters based on clone cloth to the content store - I think it still has to be material files. Maybe I can do a group pack for the marketplace at a special price.

I've uploaded the first "Texture Pack" for the "One-Piece Gown" by Bigboss. 7 Cocktail dresses. Also, the cloth base is available for purchase as well. One thing I forgot to mention, is we discussed the sort of unnatural hugging of the bust that exists on the current G3 Clone Cloth "Gown" and we tried to achieve a more natural look, and I think Bigboss succeeded quite nicely here.

Introducing "Essence of Asia", a character pack made from a brand new cloth by BigBoss called "The One Piece Gown". Bigboss made this base cloth to fill the missing link in the G3 Clone Cloth by Reallusion. The one piece gown makes it easy to create designs that have no issues matching up the upper and lower. Please note this character cannot exchange uppers and lowers with other G3 characters. The cloth and pack is exclusive to Fashion Alley for a limited time. I will be publishing texture packs for this cloth, as well as the base cloth alone will be available for purchase. Thanks to Bigboss for making this at my request. :) There will be more cloth surprises coming very soon - some very unique styles.

Thanks everyone. I am happy to announce that Pauly has agreed to publish his content in Fashion Alley. Pauly was one of the first developers for Reallusion and has been creating content for several years. He has a unique artistic flair and his characters are truly designed with story telling in mind. Each of his characters is bursting with personality The following characters are now available.

If you have never seen any of Pauly's animations, here is a link to one that he did several years ago - his animated stories, along with aknzrdude, were what really got me hooked on Iclone starting with Version 2.

Hello Rampart, always a pleasure - :) The hoods are a separate layer and can easily be turned off which is explained in the product page write-up - however, these are Biblical characters based on the times of Jesus, and generally these characters are depicted with head coverings. That is the whole point of this cloth and what sets it apart from what is available. Re Angel - the one I did last year had a halo...no one really knows what angels looked like in Biblical times, angels appeared to many according to the bible and have many different descriptions other than the "traditional angel" we all think of. Angels were often described as male forms. There is nothing to stop anyone from altering the texture to remove the gold or making their own version of what they think the angel should look like. And, if someone buys the pack and wants me to do the variation for them, I would be happy to do that. Thanks for stopping buy with your thoughts. :) I always enjoy your frank and honest comments.

Good Monday Morning - :) First of all, as a direct result of Rampart pointing out the necessity of linking items to store shown in these threads, for some time I have in fact been linking all the photos to the product page and have also included text to say "Click on the pictures for direct link to product page". You just need to hover your mouse over the main promo shot - however, it seems people don't always read everything so I guess a separate line linking might be more effective. New additions to Fashion Alley - By Cyper Wolf - hair for Robyn - I would assume the hairstyle would work with all characters with some parameter changes - but so nice to see some new hairstyles.

Hey Rampart, I agree that there is a lot of this type of content and I'm sure I have no idea what people do with it but one thing is certain, people buy it. For this reason, most developers, including myself, put some out there. I have seen the characters used from time to time in story telling in some scenes but not often. On the other hand, I don't often see any of the content we all have for sale in an actual productions. In any case, your frank observations are always appreciated and a breath of fresh air. :) ADDED - In the case of STooldio pack above, it's well worth the buy just for the face and hair alone, even if you don't have a use for the outfit.

This discussion caused me to check something out. This video was an entry to a contest sponsored by "The Wolf & Dulci Hour" - it was about creating a commercial for Iclone 4. It does have a girl in lingerie, as well as other characters, which are all for sale on Fashion Alley. FYI, here are the sales of the Characters on Marketplace - Lingerie Girl - 6 times Undertaker - 2 Old Woman - 2 Rich husband - 11 (but he was supplied as an avatar based on default -) Widow - 5 These items were also sold as packs in content store - the Lingerie pack outsold the character pack by a huge margin. Below is another video I did with lingerie character. Again, FYI, the lingerie character sold more than the casually dressed girl at the beginning. I do think these characters do have a place in stories "some" of the time as demonstrated here. n

I do appreciate all your comments and it's nice to see that it is recognized when the extra effort is put into content. I decided I would post pictures of a pack that has been in the works for a while. This has been a lot of back and forth with Apparition, who works with me as a team and produces content that I could otherwise only dream about - hehe. Those of you that know me, are aware that I have a special interest in "religious" content. This pack should come out in the next few days (I hope) but it takes time. It will come with the cloth bases. The characters were carefully researched to make them as authentic as we possibly could. What amazed me was discovering the infinite number of Nun Orders around the world and the costume variance but we couldn't possibly cover every variable. But people should be able to create their own with this pack. I may add a few more characters.

|
|

To be clear, the pack WILL include cloth bases. Older Nun
Will also include bonus reverend/preacher

Now in Fashion Alley - Johnny Soprano by Apparition Johnny is a larger boned/heavyset character - who can fill many roles. He looks tough, but is equally loveable in his striped pyjamas and slippers.
Johnny was carefully resized and shaped in 3dsMax, where the proportions can be fine tuned more precisely. His face was especially generated for his body type. He comes with 10 textured outfits by Alley, along with a nude and 2 cloth bases (one for shorter jackets more fitted and a longer version for other type clothing).
His clothes all fit perfectly with Chuck, making him extra versatile. See picture. Or use the cloth bases to create your own fashions for both Johnny & Chuck. Available Here.

Shygirl, my email to you about Bigboss was to simply tell you why I was not working with him anymore and to let you know that he would likely contact you to ask you to work with him. It was not anything other than to tell you "straight up" from my own mouth (and not his version). It was simply stating the facts, it was not a big email that had inflamatory remarks about Bigboss - I would have no problem posting the email here but it does not belong here on a public forum and you have no business and show huge lack of common sense by bring it up here. But because you insist on keeping this up, and for the sake of people reading this who might mis-interpret, Bigboss stopped working with me because of Apparition. Everyone knows those two have issues - it is professional competition between them and Bigboss did not like that I asked Apparition to join Fashion Alley. That is what I told you. The 2nd thing I told you, is that he wanted to change up the profit share deal we had. He felt that he had needed to reduce my financial compensation from what had been our deal for a few years. Both of these revelations I informed you of were to help you make an informed decision about whether you wanted to work with him....and, I also told you that I had absolutely NO PROBLEM if you wanted to work with him. I did not in any way tell you things in a creepy or schoolgirl way. I stated the facts and that's it. I was wanting you to hear in my own words why the partnership disolved rather than him state his version. You in turn thanked me for the information and replied in a very friendly manner. Another well known developer (out of respect, I will decline to name), who has been a good friend to me for many years, and who has confided in me many things, as I have with her, was the only other person I gave the same info to. So....you are implying that this person and you have been talking between yourselves about my informing you both of my reasons for the desolution. If that is so, than I am disappointed in both of you. In addition, I invited you to join Fashion Alley and offered you a higher commission, your own corner in the store, etc. I invited you because that's my job as the Fashion Theme store owner. Your declined as I suspected you would, because you prob felt that it was beneath you to be in my store as you have always considered yourself the Queen Bee when it comes to cloth design. So clearly, over time, you and Bigboss have been discussing me and my collaborations with Apparition, and building it up into some something it's not. I guess sadly that is human nature. Because I have seen the increasing animosity and dirty tactics increasing. I have appealed to Bigboss privately to stop the nonsense, and he has agreed with me...so the only one keeping this up is you. I never wanted my friendship with Bigboss to cease, I simply wanted and needed more challenge than constantly texturing his packs while trying to run Fashion Alley and add my own designs. I am very sad that we could not remain friends but I also do not like people telling me what I can and can't do. For me, the decision to move on has been a good one but I still respect and admire Bigboss and his achievements. Shygirl, I am stumped as to your motivation. We are all adults, and this is a competitive situation at times, but these tactics are not professional conduct. My email to you yesterday, that you bring up here again publically, was to ask you why you are keeping this up. You said you would respond today....but instead, here you are posting here again, stirring the pot further. Your remark in your two sentence response yesterday was that you would email me today and that "you have a feeling that my eyes will be well and truly opened" by whatever you plan on enlightening me with. That sort of remark in itself shows a lack of professionalism. So go ahead and enlighten me with your email, but keep this crap off the forum - I've had enough.

The only one showing "Claws" here is you Shygirl. I keep trying to diffuse the situation and you keep trying to fuel it. I don't think I have ever sent you a PM and if I have, it would have been years ago. And any email I may have sent you in the past was friendly exchange. Your post makes it sound like I sent you creepy emails behind the scenes. Frankly, I could write you a list a mile long of all the things that have come back to me that you started. But it's not worth it. This is extremely childish, and I am only responding because you are implying things that are not right.

No coincidence, I purposely put it in the Freebie section. I didn't work overnight on it either, it was already on the store. I just figured that since yet another pack name was the same as one of mine, that I would give mine a little more coverage. Shy
Point is you went out of your way to do this, and for what? A little more coverage for an outdated freebie? Do you really hold that much animosity toward your fellow developers? Well, I hope it gives you satisfaction. Frankly, there are always going to cases where some packs get the same name as others by accident. I've seen packs for business done by others that have the same name as mine (I never made an issue of this with the author as it's not that big of a deal) - some names seem to be the ones that come to mind and it's impossible to check every single source to see if it has ever been used. I don't frequent your store and I certainly don't remember what you named all your old packs. Honestly, I don't know what drives you to continue trying to cause friction. Mostly, I choose to just ignore you, despite your insinuations. Life is far too short.:) And for the record...I never said that other developers could not do the same characters as you implied - that would be just plain stupid to imply....what I meant by my remark was that we don't have to be malicious about it and deliberately put out the same pack within a few days, just to be jerks. And....that remark was not even directed at you, even though you chose to a) misread my meaning and b) take it personally for some reason.

Thank you Paumanok :) Well someone has been a busy little beaver overnight and dug up and dusted off their old G2 pack with the same name of "Indian Delight"...oh, I suppose the timing was just a coincidence..:P Whatever....:P:hehe: Unfortunately, as G2 packs are no longer in the content store, as they are not supported by Reallusion anymore, I had nothing to refer to as far as names of old packs such as this G2 one. In any case, I've changed the name of Apparition's latest pack to avoid confusion with the "other" pack. Indian Essence - by Apparition Available HERE.

Fashion Alley News - I am pleased to announce a new line of cloth bases by Apparition called "The One Piece Gowns". There are 4 variations and each has a 2nd bodysuit layer underneath to facilitate extra designs such as underwear, lingerie or other double layer requirement. These Cloth Bases will be a new established line, exclusive to Fashion Alley, and will enable the user to create many different designs that are not quite achievable with Clone Cloth by Reallusion. One Piece Gowns were dropped after G2 but the beauty of them was that you had no need to match patterns from upper to lower layer. We have tried to present them as simply as possible. Buy 1 cloth base, no textures - 695 points. Buy all 4 cloth bases, no textures - 1695 points. So you create your own designs, or if you prefer, there is a full line of clothing available for each version, which can be purchased as single outfits, or in money saving bundles. Members of Fashion Alley will continue to support these bases with new styles. Best of all, the designs have been created on DRM protected bases, which means the outfits are all uploaded as Avatars, with all materials and accessories pre-loaded, thus avoiding the hassle of loading materials. One more point of interest - if you own all 4 cloth bases, and you purchase an outfit for the "Puff Sleeve" version, you can save those material files to apply to one of the other versions for a slightly different look. Additionally, each version comes with a new and unique G5 face. The 4 bases available are: 1) Tight/Slim Skirt version - Available HERE.
2) PUFF Shoulder Version - Available HERE.
3) Full Skirt Version - Available HERE.
4) Moderate Skirt Version - Available HERE.
OR - Purchase the 4 versions in a COMBO for significant savings - Available HERE.

I skimmed your email, but it said nothing new. The person you accuse me of writing to about the BB situation - I do not recall writing to that person as you state, and I double checked my sent mail to be certain. I can find no mail sent to this person. I have only written this person a few times over the years, about Pinhead basically. Some people believe that that "person" is actually you. :D I gave you the above information as a professional courtesy to a fellow developer to help you make a decision. Do I think I was treated unfairly and in an underhanded way - yes, I absolutely do. You responded very politely to the information which was again, presented as plain honest facts so that you would understand why he was contacting you and so that you would know "truthfully" why I was not working with him. After all, I had been a long and loyal partner for many years who strongly supported him. But my email was not a personal attack on him at all, it was exactly as I stated above. And I also said that I had no problem with you working with him. You responded politely and you did not indicate that this information was out of line in any way. Now, you choose to twist it publically. Typical. I could publically post all the things you said about several people to me in emails but I won't because it is crossing the line in my opinion. I could also tell you stories of people that wrote me and "told" me things you said about me that were completely out of line. I could also post about how your "friend" uses multiple identities and then writes under the premise that he is someone else. These are all incidents long before the BB issue. You did start this by deliberately putting out the pack as a freebie (if it was already in the store, you would have had to repost it to make it appear on the marketplace). Do you honestly believe that I would take the time to look up the names of your packs and then copy them? Names like Arabian Nights or Indian Delight or whatever.....are just general names that come to mind. I would not purposely "copy" you and all you would have to do is send a PM and I would have changed it. You indicate I did this 6 or 7 times - well I doubt it was that many but even if it was, it was certainly not done on purpose as you insinuate. No doubt you will respond again but I'm done. It's not worth it. Hopefully Peter Edwards will remove both out posts here, as this did not belong on the forum and the transgressions you accuse me of are ridiculous.

It really is very sad to see what is basically a private disagreement between two highly respected and talented developers spill over into the public forum like this. I really would urge all further communication on this matter to be conducted by PM or email. It doesn't benefit anyone for potential customers to see private matters being conducted so publically.
Agreed. :)

Request for help - Here is the movie for OnlyOneKenobi "Grey Alien" character. I was unable to embed this when I first posted because, for me, it is not showing up on the product page - the video is just a blank area. I use Internet Explorer and also Chrome and the issue is with both. Could any of you kindly go to the product page link, and tell me if you can see the video at the bottom. I am trying to determine if it is my issue, or a general issue. It has happened with another character now as well, so this is why I ask. rampart (3/10/2012)
You should think to always include a direct link to content store item in your postings.
The content stores are large enough it can sometimes be difficult to find items.
After all this time, I don't understand why it is necessary for rampart to point this out.
I still think the community needs to have an honest discussion about how hard it is find stuff in the marketplace (of course, make that *marketplaces*).
The search functionality is pretty much a failure, isn't it?
Browse functionality isn't so great either, is it?
Developers routinely post new content without making it easy to find, don't they?

Since "The Content Developer Wars";) aren't going to go away, I suggest that Reallusion create a Content Developers Private Forum, where they can discuss their Content Developments, to avoid duplication of their efforts. Perhaps they should advertise their Products in their own Threads. Not not in someone-elses - Hint;) Ar the end of the day, it's the prospective Content purchaser who decides which is the the best content where there's duplication. "Pushy" advertising, eg; "Mine's better than your's", puts me off from purchasing that Content as a matter of principle - Another hint;) It's obvious to me, anyway, who the bad "Guy";) is, in these continuing unseemly very public exchanges. I, for one, won't be purchasing from his Store in the future. Superb Sport's Jackjets & Cocktail Dresses that can't be bettered:)

The trouble with "Flame Wars" on Public Forums & Reallusion seems to have more than it's fair share, is that: 1) They attract Voyeurs (Like me;)) 2) Those engaged in Flaming" waste too much time in waiting for the other Flamer's response, when they could be doing something productive, rather than destructive. Confucius (Or however his name is spelt) He Say;"The more responses the more time wasted & the more voyeurs".;) ..................And - Isn't this Thread a "Fashion Alley Showcase" Thread, anyway;)

Hi Alley:
I did what you suggested and here is what I have. Please note, that I was not able to replace the accessory just in top of the tie. This _might_ be the culprit. See the attachment. The one on the right is the original Christmas Nightmare, the one on the left is the RL template (Mr Slim). I tried loading the (Mr Pose) tie I purchased on BS.
Thanks for your help!!

Hi Alley:
Thank you very much! Yes, it is a bit frustrating because I have physically deleted the character file and re-downloaded. But maybe something is still there. This without taking in consideration the time to build him.
But hey!, He is terrific character! so the time it takes to assemble is nothing compared with the use.
Thank You again!!!

Hi Again:
Christmas Nightmare avatar (watermark) problem.
I have purchased through BS BOTH the Character Slim Template Map and D055 Character Slim by Reallusion (plus the tie accessory) and there is still the iClone watermark. I need this character urgently. Unfortunately, I have used 2,200 of my BS points and have not been able to get rid of the watermark. Tried deleting the avatar and downloading again and still same problem. Some explanation from RL could be useful... or maybe Peter can help...
Alley, Could you send the textures so I can try to build him?
TIA

|
By power - 15 Years Ago

Hi:
I did that and the avatar shown as new instead of trial but when trying to load the background turned into tiral (showing iClone watermark). This unless an individual item is missing. I am guessing about the tie...
Thank for the input!

Hi again:
Nope the tie is not the reason. Maybe, as Alley said, I also need the base model. But.. my BS points are almost empty. I guess best thing is to try Alley textures for head and other parts. Will wait and try that.
Thanks!

Apparition (12/5/2011) Regarding Animagic comment on the skirt "not falling down"when in a kneeling posture, I suppose we all know such thing cannot happen with standard iClone clothing, as there is no Gravity involved. Just the clothing produced with Physics technologies can do that, or by means of using tricks like those in Apparition's DressWizard collection.

Sure Dark Angel! These styles were created PRECISELY for those stories to be told in classic atmospheres, where absolute elegance is a prime factor. Surely the Cinderella dance night would be one of those! Hi Dear folks!
Thanks again!
To PeterRL. ... So you want to know the secret on how to get more time to spend doing this joyful work? OK! It is so easy....
There are some Japanese watches designed to increase productivity. Rather than the conventional 12 hour dial they have a 14 hour dial! So you get 4 extra hours a day to work in iClone development!
I can give you the link to the watch vendor if you want to increase even more your productivity¡:D

Hi folks!
We sincerely appreciate the demonstrations of approval for the mutual efforts we are doing with Alley to bring iClone users not only "more" clothing but doing a careful selection of styles and mesh profiles as well, to accommodate the avatar looks to the contemporary fashion styles.
Regarding Animagic comment on the skirt "not falling down"when in a kneeling posture, I suppose we all know such thing cannot happen with standard iClone clothing, as there is no Gravity involved. Just the clothing produced with Physics technologies can do that, or by means of using tricks like those in Apparition's DressWizard collection.
For that reason, and to satisfy user demands for natural behavior clothing, Apparition-Alley had released the FlowCloth series, which is at this point the only Physics implemented, varied female clothing for female avatars, with natural behavior and great style.
It is a common feeling in the iClone market, users somehow put their expectations in what is called the "native" or CloneCloth release from R.L., to decide and purchase clothing items. As it happened before with G3, CloneCloth will take some time to appear, and when it does it will not possess anything different than the clothing being released now by CCDs.
Probably some of the styles and techniques will be "transferred" to the CloneCloth products to come, but once the expectancy is gone, users will then see how interesting, efficient, stylish and well done, the CCD garment production is.
Not only CloneCloth will be capable of bringing those qualities tomorrow. Those qualities are available now! Why wait?
|
|

|
Thanks dear Shy!
I would like to see you doing some add-on textures for this product.
I am not going to say "it is the very first Physics clothing produced for iClone 5 in record time" because if I do I would be accused of "bragging" while I am only proud of having Alley interested in it and doing her fabulous work designing those sexy styles for my humble contribution to the iClone 5 New World.
Thanks to Alley for her marvelous dedication!

Thank you Alley for such beautiful work and great support! Without your excellent artistic efforts my mesh would be just that.... Mesh! I feel great satisfaction by the way Alley interprets my mesh concepts, where a certain degree of randomness in the mesh structure, gets fully complemented by the artistic grace Alley puts in her cuts and texture selections!
We have released this series with the aim of stimulating users to produce their own designs. I will post here a simple tutorial showing how the mesh and texture mapping concept is aimed to make it an easy and enjoyable experience!
Thanks again!

Part of this problem was created by a certain inclination from visitors to come up when something is discussed and start spreading and enlarging the subject, when in most cases all starts from a minor misunderstanding!
I even was "endowed" with a conflict type personality, when I actually had an incomplete understanding of the "polite" forms of expression and the hyper-sensitiveness of some cultures.
I have tried several times to dilute such differences, mostly implanted by the "audience", and I have asked both BigBoss and Shy Girl to co-participate and work all together. By this I meant Shy or Alley, and other good texture artists to simply be able to work with ALL mesh sources!
I asked BigBoss to host some of my products in his store but he had reasons to decline my request, and I understood. I also asked Shy to do some work on my mesh and the same declining response showed me there are reasons for them to decline, while there are none for me!
Alley does support the idea and she is doing beautiful work for other mesh developers, including RL without awakening any jealousy from my part!
All this tension must go away from the forum. We certainly can all work together, share experiences and even support each other.
I sincerely believe friendship and brotherhood are more important than the few bucks, iClone content sales can bring into our pockets. More valuable are the good audience comments, and the encouraging messages to keep up and produce more! :)
Let's get into it! BigBoss, Alley, Shy Girl, Wil Veeke, Vit3D, Sen, Sjones, StoodIO, and many others are very talented persons and creative souls. I might even have a little bit of it or at least I am struggling to gain those qualities.
I ask our two main Texture Artists to drop the towel, shake hands and forget minor differences, as to recover your great mood and enthusiasm!
P.S. (I hope no one will come up saying I am sarcastic or "playing roles"... I am speaking from my heart!)

ULTRA WOW!
Alley has gone beyond belief with this INCREDIBLE texturing art! Also her helmets and other accessories she crafted by herself using Z software complement so well this collection! I think by simply having this avatars as part of your casting, MANY creative ieas for videos will flow from all of you great video makers! Lucky me, I can get these for a real good price, but you all can too, as this avatars are incredibly affordable!
Thanks Alley for lifting my humble mesh to this heights!

Fabulous textures by Alley! Thanks dear Alley!
Interesting fact about this avatars is they do not use many map channels, saving lot's of valuable video memory! When doing Marvelous Designer Cloth, there is a chance to get into several pitfalls. Abusing ruffling and stretching, although tempting, can lead to producing out of fashion clothes. Fresh and contemporary styles require understanding the female nature and the current trends! I hope users will enjoy the versatility, style and above all affordable cost for this beautiful girls!

We appreciate all your concern and support!
Regarding image size, the forum server automatically downsizes any image larger than allowed. The problem is with videos. It seems videos are not limited in size and such thing is exploited unfairly by some posts, where HUGE, gigantic videos are posted, no matter their bandwidth is too large and playback is very bad.

Not everybody is happy with freebies but I hope the spirit changes. I was just protecting Virtual Fashion interests, as it is part of my agreement with them!
Please enjoy the initiative and give it a try to AR-Cloth in your next video! Mostly courtesy of Alley, who has worked a bit doing such marvelous textures for all of you!

I never said it is "wrong to look at the tool possibilities" On the contrary! I AM PROMOTING THE TOOL USAGE! That is why I have it on the first place! I am engaged in promoting Virtual Fashion software as an alternative for cloth developers! I will develop tutorials on how to rig it and texture it!
My responses have to do with the offering to do a "freebie" out of it! That is fine too! So, please GO AND BUY A LICENSE and a COMMERCIAL AGREEMENT!
Then, if you want to, do 200 freebies! It will be fine for the Users! But if you come up and say "Waiting for the quad fad in it" then I have to say! Big Mistake! Probably, as I heard, Virtual Fashion is feeling pushed into enabling such silly feature in their software, because there is NO need whatsoever to further tinker with the mesh, so quad mesh is irrelevant and also counterproductive, as the random mesh generated is THE BEST for cloth simulation. Far better than quad mesh!
Anyway, the mesh subject to this nonsense is not only the MD product (out of the box). It has also over it an outstanding texturing work, which makes the final product.
So I am fervently waiting for other developers to gain access to Virtual Fashion Software, including you! It will fulfill my commitment to the excellent people at Clo3D!

Dear Rampart: I do not clearly understand your question:
If you are asking if this cloth can be applied to standard characters, the answer is.... Yes!
Developed over the standard iClone templates for developers, the upper or lower, depending of its presence in the cloth set, can be applied normally.
"clone Cloth" is just a brand name for RL native cloth! A different thing are the textures. Clone Cloth textures are related to the same series of base characters. But AR-Cloth is NOT a set of textures. It is a totally complete set of avatars wearing the exclusive mesh design and elegantly textured by Alley!
I hope this clears your concerns!

You cannot do this Big Boss unless you have a commercial license. Pretending it to be a "freebie" when it is an attack because YOU ARE NOT ENTITLED TO DISTRIBUTE! SELL OR GIVE AWAY any derivative from MD or Clo3D trial software. I would require you to sease and desist. Unless you PROVE you have a license for this you are abusing the forum and we certainly will present a complaint to the proper interested people at Virtual Fashion in any case you release a freebie or a product for sale.

I would present the audience my apologies for having to witness these "affairs", although not initiated by me.
It must be clear I have never hidden the fact the AR-Cloth concept is created with Virtual Fashion software tools, not like other cases where a pseudo developer has pretended to be "creator" of a series of faces when actually they were a product of FaceGen software.
Apparition does not do that!
The merit in releasing AR-Cloth is in the fact I AM ACTUALLY RELEASING IT! It is not the case I would "decide it is not good because it is not quad", depriving the iClone community for reaching these kind of products, when it really was the inability to purchase or obtain a license to do it! The insistence on the "quad versus triangle" fad, is just that. iClone users will easily find many articles explaining why triangular mesh is better for the render engine, specially when simulating cloth. Quads are good for modelers, during the mesh creation phase, but quads are actually converted to triangular mesh anyway when loaded into iClone!
Pretending to be genial for having done an MD piece of cloth, as some posts here, is very childish! Of course practically anyone can do it, with the necessary skills. But taking it ahead to bring it to the User's hands is another thing!
The most important thing of all is Honesty. Honesty to declare the limitations in your products. Their origin and intention are very important for an ethical participation in this market.
Apparition never has tried to deviate Users understanding on how products are made, how they work and how to build them. It is me, Mike Aparicio.
My realizations might not be the "utmost unbeatable product of quad fad", but they are what is said, they perform as shown and are done with the primordial desire to expand iClone resources with the best quality my humble hands can make! either by legally using resources, tools or technologies available, or by creating them when possible!
Thanks for reading!

Alley is very right. It seems we are totally skiping many video and movie genres where minimal feminine clothing is shown. Musical videos is one of them. There are thousands of dance, rock, romance and adventure videos where ladies wear such suggestive, revealing garments. Honestly I do not think iClone avatars are suitable for "porn" production, as characters are not readily endowed for such scenes. Commercial production uses highly inductive imagery, where models of both genres wear very daring costumes. Is it we don't watch TV any more? Feminine beauty is always appealing, and it resides not only in faces but on the rest too. Very few would argue against this. 3D avatars, with a sexy look, are designed with an inner body too. If it would be the case, characters would be made entfirely of clothing and no inners to show. Of course there can be bad taste things, and we see some here and there but in general, revealing costumes do have a point. How would dance videos look if dancers would be wearing pijamas? Rather objectionable are quality lacking products, with poor color and shape choices, than beautiful avatars wearing suggestive, daring outfits. Of course it is only my humble opinion!

For the little part that belongs to me, the mesh creation, I would like to add, the ripples and natural folds are not "illusory" but actually is careful three D modelling, aimed to create the natural fall fabrics pose! I would say again, nothing of this could be possible without the dedication and demands for a realistic look and performance, Alley has manifested through these developments. I appreciate all encouraging comments, specially from Rampart and Hutch which obviously have a great cultural background and can support and advise for the improvement of our works!
Thanks, all good folks!

Judgment arising from simply viewing some images is misleading, certainly! Al iClone users (with experience) know the G5 avatar generation is very cool and does its work with as few as 25 to 30 Kpolygons. To evaluate and make sense it is of utmost necessity to actually use iClone, have the avatars under critics and explore different ways to render, texture and illuminate such. Also, iClone is not only a "nice avatar" rendering program. It's features go beyond miles of what you can do with Poser. So it is all a matter of balance. Yea! Next iClone is supposed to be better! Wow! Great discovery! Generally, program evolution brings better things... Right? But today, more than 400,000 iClone users, (for some mysterious fact) have gone the iClone way. Many of them buy products from the Content Developers Group. Are we happy? SURE, WE ARE!
But I also agree... If one picture or two makes someone fully reject a technology, just by "feel"... It is his absolute right to do so....
And ours not to believe him! ;)

CHAKRABORT:
Although within your rights as an admitted member to this forum, you can understand we cannot readily accept your opinion of any value, except for being personal. Curiously this is your first post (???) and it was surprising you come in and criticize in a non constructive way!
While we constantly get excellent comments, from truly constructive and contributory participants, members doing those comments have done more than 1000 posts, indicating they DO UNDERSTAND iClone content, and the problems encountered while developing for it.
Once we see you have been here for a while, your opinion will start to acquire some value, as you will learn to evaluate the whole iClone world, not compared to anything but within it's own realm!
Thanks for participating and daring!

I think you are reading more into my lines than intended ... I just highlighted the fact that the particular model of cloth used in one of your products was basically out of the box from Marvelous Designer and so considering the little effort required to make a product for iClone, the Marvelous Designer tool did look promising... In other words, you are not the only one who is looking at this tool and there is nothing wrong with that is there? Cheers. :)

This adventure cost me 700$ so I hope to make the best of it later on but for now, I have buried the axe and I hope you do the same, lets not talk about triangle & Quads either, lets use circles going forward !!! ... Love you all... even when it hurts xxx Thanks. :)

Where's the trick??? :P :P :P Clo3D is promising but it will be a lot more promising when they add the QUAD poly capability in Q3. Cheers!

I know some of these items are packs in the content store but I can't find some of them and I can't get to them if you put them in the City Marketplace because I can't get into Backstage to get them. Is there any other way I can access the ones that aren't in packs?

Alley and Power I can tell you one issue from personal experience. The template for an item must be installed first and working before the item that uses it is installed. If the item is installed and then the template, I have run into the trial/ watermark issue. The only way I solved it was to redownload the item from backstage again after the template was installed. This made it "new" again and then when it was loaded it worked fine. Just a thought. Robert

Thanks-a-million Alley for your generosity,:) You're right, the USPS(US Postal service)has been going through a lot of changes in wardrobe for its employees. I used to work there, but just retired, and thank God never went "postal"(crazy);) Hollywood even came up with a silly movie titled: "Going Postal" a not-so-funny adaptation of the tragic news of a few postal workers shootouts.
BTW Stooldio is uploading some "good stuff" to the Fashion Alley store::hehe:
Congrats Stooldio "Muito Bom"

Wow Alley, great new additions to your "Alley & friends World" Iclone characters(BTW that could be a nice catch-phrase):) a great incentive to stop by Ur store. Especially about the "Ipanema girl",and G5 beauties;)Thnx Stooldio, she's very realistic! I hope Paumanok doesn't worry as those exotics birds are never "harmed",they are happily "consumed" (pun intended)at least in Brazil.:D
About the other characters and occupations,I'm still surprised in all of the Iclone stores there are no mailmen at all,as far I can see. Maybe you developers can create a mailman character to round up those occupations.

rgathje (9/16/2010) I know some of these items are packs in the content store but I can't find some of them and I can't get to them if you put them in the City Marketplace because I can't get into Backstage to get them. Is there any other way I can access the ones that aren't in packs?I sympathise with you rgathe. Like I have said in another post it is all getting too confusing. Marketplace,Backstage,Content storeshops appearing every day, etc etc. Just to find a store is somtimes a nightmare. Plus some of the content has been disappointing when downloaded. It was os much simplier when there was only a few content stores.

rampart (2/6/2012) Just curious... I see so many women characters in lingerie, semi-naked, etc. I'm curious what are animators doing with all these half naked women. There is absolutely nothing I'm doing that goes there, nor do I think I will ever have a use for such visual representations of women. I was looking at a fairy content pack and the women didn't look like fairies to me. They look like Las Vegas showgirls. No, I am not trying to be a smart mouth about this. I just don't see where you can build videos and have much respect from viewers, except for stuff that appeals to viewers with prurient interests.
Right on target, Rampart! I suspect they're used for private porn productions (LOL) that, of course, are not fit for showing or viewing on this platform. Yes, it does get irritating after a while, since it incessantly represents women as "fair prey" or sex objects for heterosexual male titillation, i.e. in a far too sexist[1] manner, at least for this decidedly pro-feminist man. This criticism is NOT directed at any particular content developer who, as Alley rightly pointed out, are merely acting in accordance with a supply/demand market; this phenomenon is, however, reactionary ("putting women back in place") and symptomatic for (American?) society in general, 40-some years of second-wave feminism notwithstanding. :/
Where are the flat-chested flappers dressed in the garçonne (i.e. boyish) look that was so popular in the 1920s? Or chubby Mama-Cass-type women who like the way they look, and show it? Or, yes, double-chinned, potbellied older men perfectly content to be just the way they are? Am personally so tired of the thinnies and twinks. There are so many interesting types of people to see and marvel at while seated at any sidewalk café in any town square in all of Europe or elsewhere: where the heck are they in the iClone world? Sad. Just plain sad. We older AND chubbier folks feel discriminated against on this score because we ARE; our needs are just not being met, and we are NOT adequately represented here, not by a long shot. --------------- [1] "Those sex roles dehumanize women by defining [them] as a supportive/serving caste IN RELATION TO the master caste of men". (Source: Radicalesbians, "The Woman-Identified Woman," Pittsburgh, 1970. "... in relation to..." is emphasized in the original document as well.)

coming soon to FashionAlley store...

I'm currently working on a goth/vampire style pack for female to complete my dark gothic style series vol.1 packages. For every new pack I release, I always try to improve things from the previous and adding more value for the money. This pack will include 6 sets of cloth, 1 face, 3 make-up. Currently, I only finished 3 sets of clothes out of the 6 I'm planning. Look forward to this release! It will complete your Dark and Gothic needs!

A & A, what a great team. The robe moves so naturally when the character moves. I love the way the characters head is recessed into the shroud like the emperor in star wars. The robes make the character sinister looking, and you can see the character's face. I can see using this as a witch, a grim reaper, a warlock, a jedi, a monster, and any number of places where you want to create a feeling of an evil or forboding character. Keep up the good work, this is the best

So we are looking at a pack that is all G5 avatar compatible?
I was looking at my G3 Occupation pack, and this appears to really update appearance of the characters. Since I try to only use G5, unless I have no other choice this would appear to be a very good fit.
One big attraction for me is the props in the G3 pack. I can use them with this content. :w00t: Kool!
I look forward to trying the G3 occupation pack motions with it as well. I've had pretty good luck so far with respect to using G3 motions with G5 characters. I don't expect the motions to be a perfect fit, but it is a starting place.
The G3 occupation pack was pretty expensive unless you got it on sale. When will we know what the price for this pack will be?

I looked into MD awhile back. I care less for trying to be a wrench that turns every bolt. As long as the content you guys provide is reasonably priced I think most of us are happy. The cost of entry for commercial development of MD products is very expensive. The learning curve cannot be ignored either. You guys both have a good following and friends among iclone users. I haven't a single complaint about the work either of you do. Each of you is a bit different and that makes it better for all. Some days you may not get your cup of Java fast enough...like today. You can't harm each other without hurting yourself. Yeah, I like free stuff too. :w00t:

Are your recent releases of cocktail dresses and sport jackets types of content going to be available from A & A (Apparition & Alley) going forward? There sure is a nice flow to the garments, which does look realistic. Much more realistic than the flowing garments we were looking at a couple months back.

It is all about damages. If the sport franchises can prove up damages, which usually includes if you sell their ID stuff, or if you are selling anything that has their logo and they are losing sales. If they aren't making virtual clothes for iClone were they damaged. If you are concerned, you can pop off a letter to those associations. Then of course you will know the outcome of that. They will disapprove any use of their logo or trademarks carte blanche. Why would the cooperate with you or anyone. If you do use their logos and give the stuff away I doubt you would ever hear from them for any reason. Lawyers only sue companies and people with money. All iClone content providers give away free stuff all the time. Maybe you should just provide free logo items. I don't see anyway you would be challenged for that, lawyers are expensive. A single letter from them written by an attorney will cost them around $500. If you arent' rich, at worst you might get a letter from them asking you to quit. So you quit then. The below information I would take very seriously. RL is a competent company and should carefully scrutinize all content before posting for sale on the marketplace. The courts would see them as collaborators in instances of copyright, trademark or intellectual property violations. Leave off representing any product trademarks of logos associated with animated content, movies, music, etc. Disney has an inhouse legal department working to prosecute violators of their trademarks, patents, logos and intellectual property. Disney is very serious about their intellectual property and will go to great lengths to prevent any unauthorized use for any reason, regardless of actual damages. Disney sells movies, games, toys, clothing, and all manner of Disney items associated with animation. I would leave off using any logos or content items relating to associations with characters from Star wars, Disney, Muppets, Spiderman, Iron man, Simpsons, etc.

Hutch I agree the latest pack from RL with Wanda, etc. is a good start. The icloth maybe a problem with those kinds fo characters, but otherwise they make sense. I watched Fox "the 5" yesterday. Kimberly Guilfoyle, and attorney and beautiful woman was seated (as always) at the end of the table for showing her legs and silhouette. A hot red dress is her logo with good display of all her wares. It's all about the money for her I'm sure. Fox new and others are always exploiting women. It is obvious beauty and sexual attractiveness are in the forefront. O'Reilly does the same thing. Actually, I don't blame the news anchors... I blame the networks. You know in business you can't do that. You would be in sexual harrassment lawsuits frequently. Yet, the media gets away with it. . Anyway, don't need to say more. People can see for themselves that sexism is alive and well and it's not going away until women get fed up and file lawsuits. The sad part is... on fox most of the women hanging it out and pushing the sex are lawyers. Madonna giving the finger.. funny stuff there. The NFL knew that beforehand. Think about it, Janet Jackson showed here boob. They know it's coming and then the NFL says" We're sorry and they milk the promotion and publicity for weeks and months afteward". That's a good publicity stunt and it cost the NFL nothing. If they were fined about 6 million dollars for each incident I bet they would be sorry for real. So many lies, so deceitful and unethical "the media".

I think children, per-teens and young persons are attracted to animation like no other age groups. George Lucas said it," television is the greatest education medium ever invented". The entire entertainment industry plays the education angle down, because they are interested for people to pay and see their stuff. I often wonder if children and young adults are getting educated realistically. Are they getting a competent understanding from media and entertainment producers of what real people (especially women) are really like? I don't blame people for producing what sells, but I do believe quality produced content is much more valuable to video producers. By that I mean real quality, like the recent release by Alley and Apparition of the 3 women with clone cloth base that sells for $60. Yes, expensive, but in my estimation the content will make my videos much more attractive, have greater visual appeal, and present my message better. I didn't see the point for the lingerie, but Rome wasn't built in a day. Alley and Apparition now appear to have more emphasis on producing higher quality clothing based on designer releases. Clothing that really has quality appearance and visual appeal. I am sure it's tough to do that when the content marketplace has a bias towards sexist content. Someone at some point must take initiative and be the ground breakers. BigBoss really came through with his nuns and priests content clone cloth characters. I expressed my opinon and he dealt with it. That really speaks well of him to take criticism of his artistic expression, not wearing his feelings. I have never seen voluptuous nuns with prominent bosoms and such. You see nuns in habits that reveal little more than their faces with no makeup. BigBoss did a fix, and his release is very outstanding. If I had a Priest and Nun project in the works I would certainly buy it. So, thanks to you content developers... "That are getting the message", your actions speak volumes about you. IMO, quality of content will bring the greatest rewards to developers. I am sure I'm not alone when I say, "I look for quality content from specific developers first". Just pumping out content hoping to get a sale is weak and disorganized. When developers take the time to really do things well in their packs, offer their content at reasonable prices and consistently maintain a quality standard they will be looked to as the benchmark producers of content.

Are you going to have priests with the black suit, black shirt and "the collar". There are alot of those around, especially out among people. Also, there are many denominations that wear "the collar", as some descibe it. You rarely see dressed up priests, except special events and days. Looks like this will be an excellent content pack.

Everything looks very good. I would prefer an apparition clone cloth as base, because if you go to different places within world and study the robes and habits of nuns you will find all kinds of differences. Some nuns wear the huge hats that look like wings, some just like you have pictured, etc. It is interesting how viewers pick up on the little things like that. It would be a preference for me to have clone cloth bases, so if I need to change minor things or colors in clothing I can do that fairly easy. I really like that flexibility. Ooops... I forgot. Nuns never wear lipstick and they are rarely that pretty. LOL

-----------
You should think to always include a direct link to content store item in your postings.
The content stores are large enough it can sometimes be difficult to find items.
----------
You might also think about making a presentation video for all content packs over $20.
I'm OK with the $3.00 items no video
---------- The RL clone cloth G5 stuff from Alley looks excellent as always.
It is good for business to go with the RL clone cloth for producing content I would think.
To be very honest... I am targeted more to using your (apparition) basic clone cloth and alley embellishments. Everything I've gotten so far has been the best and the constant release of new characters is important to me. Chuck and Gwynn I've got enough.
I'm now looking forward to an apparition/alley pack of the little black dress and other current releases you made for RL G5 Clone cloth with new and different excellent characters you furnish, not Gwynn character.
I'd rather spend my money this way.

Chak:  Being a critic is always easier than being a creator. Those with talent and acquired skill become artists while those without these attributes become critics. ;) As you grow, you will begin to see the truth of what I say. As Mel Brooks put it in "History of the World Part 1": "And here, in a cave about 2 million years ago, the first artist was born. And, of course, with the birth of the artist, came the inevitable afterbirth... The critic." It’s true Mike, I’m only a passer by on this forum, and true again – I don’t have much experience with Iclone; however I do have with Poser and I’m very surprised M1-like avatars are still alive ! Your customers are “content” as they haven’t got any alternative but things will change once this new Iclone update everybody’s talking about comes out. I’m very curious how would such M1ish avatars look right beside genesis!

Lol; these characters look just like old pc games from the 90’s!
