A quick (and dirty) way to create lightning bolts in iClone using popvideo. A popvideo is applied to a backdrop to create lightning effects without using any of the precious lights that are such a sacred resource in iClone. Control the lightning by using the on/off switch and tweak it on the timeline with the visibility button.
This lightning was created with particles in Studio Max. The tutorial can be used with any video of lightning that has an alpha video with it. The PROP SETUP tutorial shows you how to setup the backdrop with the popvideo if you have never used one before.
